I wonder why Bethesda isn't showing some love here for Gog. Big B could have promoted quakecon here. Seems like Big B is getting too big for its britches.

Anyone like the new doom4/doom5 eternal? I wasn't wowed by the doom4 annoucement/trailer.

because Beth loves surprise mechanics and DRM?
I literally own them all except the Evil Within games, which I'm prettttttttty sure I wouldn't enjoy. Might get the first one for $5 though, I dunno. They're like lesser Resident Evil games right? Meh.
Bethesda to us: NOTHING. YOU GET NOTHING.
Us: *sad*

I adore the Evil Within games.

I'd recommend them to people who love Dead Space and Resident Evil 4. They're definitely not for everyone, and can have a high amount of jank.

Also highly recommend Doom 2016.

The sequel is said to be better (rare as that is to write). Personally I found the first game did little more than remind me of better games made by the same people years before.
FeelsBadMan, QuakeCon sounds like the best time to have this sale.
I think the steam sale lasts until the 30th. People could wait and see if there's a GoG sale at the weekend.
Some games are higher on the steam sale. The old doom 3 is one that's slightly increased in price from previous years.

Well I mean it's not like Bethesda needs GOG, we GOGgers basically get what scraps we can get from (especially "AAA") devs and pubs. I'd love to see more Beth games here like original Doom 3, or at least some discounts, but I'm not surprised Steam takes a much bigger priority over GOG. But maybe there'll be some deals later.
I'm hoping GOG convinces Beth to release some more games here. Who knows

I liked Dead Space and Dead Space 2 a lot, but mostly for the great sci-fi settings and System Shock 2 kind of stuff. Not so much the survival horror aspects, which kind of bug me honestly. I own RE4 but never finished it. Never played Silent Hill. Horror isn't really my bag unless it's mixed with another genre I love like Dead Space or Alien: Isolation.

Probably not your cup of tea then. I love those games... especially the ones that cranked the action up a bit while still maintaining a degree of survival horror mechanics.

Alien: Isolation is indeed great... that said it's really more a horror stealth game than a survival horror title. It does have a bit of survival horror, but really the goal is to never be seen.

Anothername: Yeah. Fuck the sale, give me Skyrim & FO4 ;)

SLP2000: How about Hexen + Heretic instead?
Already have the (online) DRM free disks. Sky & FO4 for PC was always a Steam exclusive though (Yes, they did that long before the Epic store :P).
I'm thinking we'll be seeing a special Bethesda sale hopefully with some new releases, or a Bethesda themed week-end sale. We'll see.

If you're going to get the first one, you might as well get the Deluxe version which includes all the DLC. I think it's only $1-2 extra.
