Timboli: Annoyingly, after reluctantly installing both the Epic and Steam clients on my wife's Windows 8.1 PC, so I could run the 64 bit version of Quake to get the Addons, they didn't work.
I don't know why Bethesda have to make it so hard, and I have no clue what I need to do now, as I have given permission to everything I could think of in relation to the game and launchers, to get through my Firewall and AV.
It is possible I guess, that the game will only connect to Bethesda.net using Windows 10 or 11. That's my last kind of hope right now, and unfortunately it will be a while before I can attempt that.
I've also read that currently the Addons require an internet connection even to play, something which Steam says they are trying to fix. If true, then no doubt that is one big reason GOG don't yet have the Enhanced version.
I'm tempted to go the pirate route, just to get what I've paid for, and that is ridiculous and should never need to be.
Why the hell can't you just download the Addons via your Steam or Epic account or even Bethesda account as that can be linked to either store. Why is there a need to do it via a menu option in game. So damn stupid as is.
About Add-Ons - if you downloaded them, did you try running them in IronWail or QuakeSpasm?
