The original Quake had one of the best LAN multilayer implementations - LAN co-op went through basically the full single-player experience, including being able to save and load progress. It may not have been perfect, but it was so much better for a LAN team to play together than many games since.
Odds are the Quake game coming here sooner has skyrocketed as Bethsdas launcher is getting axed I bring this up for obvious reasons as while I am unsure if Quake Enhanced uses Bethesdas launcher the launcher getting axed means good possibles for Gog in terms of Bethesda related ips showing up that prior needed the launcher

Not a single Bethesda game needed the launcher when sold on Steam. Some of them require a Bethesda account, which is not going anywhere. Since the new version of Quake requires a Bethesda account as well to access online multiplayer + expansions, the chances of it arriving here have not changed at all.

Actually some did if I recall right for some or atleast had it patched in later on .. But I could be slightly misremebering given the over load of such needed as I could swear one of the nu-dooms and Rage 2 at a piont needed the Bethesda launcher like the Ubisoft launcher requirement for Far cry games in general.. But again I could be misremebering as I know I keep getting temped to pick the Nu-dooms and Rage 2 up but I could swear they required the launchers for something and had the standard drm to em..

And the fact is the odds of them migrating to Gog now is higher as Bethesdas own launcher is gone even if a bethesda.net account is still needed .. purely because Bethesda now lacks its own launcher to use once its fully axed

Once again, Bethesda.net account is not Bethesda launcher. Only the latter is retired; the former will be staying. Not a single game ever required the Bethesda launcher if you bought it from Steam, but plenty required a Bethesda.net account.

And there is no evidence of them migrating to GOG. All their FAQ is talking about is migration to Steam, Steam and more Steam. Wishful thinking is not higher chances, especially not skyrocketing ones.

Gah you are missing the latter factor of why I said ''the evil within'' its been here for awhile now and it or its sequel(I forget which as been awhile sense I played either ) One has content from Bethesda.net not requiring a login/account for the content that it had as a bonus prior only apparently accessable to Bethesda.net account holders that logged in.. Thus my piont is without the freaken Bethesda.net Launcher the odds of games coming to Gog at somepiont has shot up greatly when compared to before.. Given 1 Steam is the Defacto place as far as I know now that on pc Bethesda games will pop up legitly first as now we have no Bethesda Launcher axed and a Gog version of a game apparently comes with baked into the game Bethesda.net content without needing to login top access that as far as I know last I heard Steam users still was needing to Login for..

Thus unless Bethesda games start popping on Epic aswell as Steam I am rather confident is saying Bethesda games have a higher chance appaering on her sometime later after the steam launch compared to prior

Hopefully it's not another Grandia 1 situation.
Did my first post of this get deleted lol
What happened with Grandia 1 (apart from not coming to GOG)?

That's some misplaced optimism right there!

I believe it was at one-point confirmed to come here. The GungHo page for Grandia 1 HD had the GOG logo on it, there maaaybe was a post about it as well?
Then one day the logo was gone, and we just never heard about it since.
No follow-up no nothing, just plug pulled.

I really don't understand what's so hard about posting a 'Sorry, no can do anymore.'

SmollestLight: Here's the official statement from the game's publisher:
Developed by the award-winning id Software, Quake® is the ground-breaking, original dark fantasy first-person shooter that inspires today’s retro-style FPS games. Now, experience the authentic, updated, and visually enhanced version of the original. The GOG version of the update is currently being finalised and will be available to new and existing customers soon.
Bump. Could you provide an update?
SmollestLight is very busy closing threads. It seems that he doesn't have time to answer any questions.

Don't TRY and get this thread closed! I'm hoping to be able to refer to this thread to see how long it took to honour the promise on Quake Enhanced coming to GOG (assuming it ever does).
I see Bethesda have a sale on here but have not even updated Quake yet. Pass.
