May not be ACTIVE, sure, but those numbers are fairly high in comparison to this place.

Hitting like or follow is easy, particularly with Facebook and Twitter's algorithms these days you probably won't even see half the posts from pages you follow. But actually engaging and being a part of something requires a lot more effort.
I don't comment on most of the posts (hardly any really) of the pages I follow on Facebook. I rarely ever respond to tweets, I imagine most other users are fairly similar.
Reddit on the other hand (as far as I understand) is more forum like. There is no particular 'like' equivalent, so it requires much more effort to be an active member than it does to be a Facebook follower.
