So, puzzle games are one of my favourite genres, and I'd love to get some recommendations for more. Puzzle/adventure hybrids are great too, and games with strong puzzle elements are welcome too - I'd give something like Portal's challenges as an example.

I recently played Gorogoa, which was a very nice indie game I picked up on the Switch. It has a really nice core mechanic where you shift panels about, and the visuals are lovely.

Also, I recall spending a few days completing all the challenges on Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the the Move. I wish it had had more Donkey Kong levels, those were great. The track-based gameplay was very enjoyable, and I'd be interested to play similar games.

I think I'd like to get The Witness, I've heard very good things about it.

I lost count of how many times I have almost filled my pockets with rocks and jumped in the lake because of those games! :P

I am not big game collector but can name these games i like:

Blocks That Matter (has platformer-like levels)
Tetrobot and Co. (Not very hard)

MacGuffin's Curse (Steam). Good music and interesting / slightly strange atmosphere.

True, the games can be frustrating. But on the other hand didn't you feel like the smartest person ever when you finally cleared a room that you thought was impossible to complete?

Give "Contraption Maker" a shot. Basically a retake on those games featuring Rube-Goldberg puzzles, brought to you by the people who made those games in the first place.

Lemmings is still a good time, provided you use a source port to make the game(s) friendly for modern comps.

La-Mulana is basically a demonic mixture of King's Quest and Metroidvania games. Sure to keep you busy for awhile.

Syoban Action (freeware) sometimes feels like a puzzle game, especially when trying to figure out how to survive the kaizo trap at the end of the level.

Eryi's Action ($5, supposedly DRM-free if bought from the developer's website) is similar, but I've only played the first level of the (2-level) demo. (I do recommend trying the demo first; if you don't like unfair games with lots of trial-and-error, this might not be the game for you.)

Check out the RHEM series, if you already haven't. They are the best puzzle adventure games I have played in a veeeery long time. Think first-person adventure (a la Myst) but with the best puzzle design possible. Unfortunately, they still cannot be found on GOG. But you can always vote for them:

I don´t play many puzzle games. The last one with puzzle elements was Ittle Dew. The master dungeon was quiet hard.

EDIT: Do point´n click adventures count too? Because the main game play consists of puzzles. They are one of my favorite genres.

Another vote for the DROD games. Looking at screenshots or even video doesn't really do them justice, you have to sit down and try one to truly appreciate them. They have demo versions available on the Caravel Games website.

The Swapper is fantastic.

And, in a way, you could consider Into the Breach as a puzzle game.
