Hopefully RTMI is released for people interested, and sometime during the sale would be appropriate.

Personally I want Serious Sam 2 here (though admittedly I'd only buy it on a discount; wouldn't have to be much of a discount, I'd buy it for $5, but even lower might be smarter to be competitive to discounts it has gotten on Steam). SS2 has 1700+ votes, SS3 has 1300+, and the various missing others have hundreds of wishlist votes.

There are some good discounts to attain with this bundle thing, will have to look closer at some titles. If not Return to Monkey Island then maybe Ape Out instead?

Yup, indeed. Thanks, GOG – I appreciate that.
I'll celebrate it with some small additional purchase ;)

GOG refuses to make any official statement, which (IMO) means there are some plans or discussions.

If the case was closed, there would be no reason to avoid statements like "there are no plans for such release at the moment" or "the game is not planned to be released on GOG in near future". So I guess they still negotiate or they plan to release the game later, perhaps as a part of e.g. Winter Sale.

Such delay is nothing to be happy, of course, but I think it would be great to only have a problem with x-months delays in DRM-free GOG releases. Missing games are much more problematic, not a delayed DRM-free release policy.

I don't think it makes much sense to delay it even further than during the run of the Devolver sale. This hole in GOG's catalog is massive and it of course comes across as downright teasing when there's a Devolver sale but R2MI is still held back for no discernible reason.

I can think of a few scenarios in which this sale is indeed part of the deal that GOG and Devolver have made.

I'm looking at the Talos Principle for now, but Return to Monkey Island will be the next game I'll buy from GOG. I think it's likely that afterwards, I can still get Talos Principle at the present discount.

Maybe. Tbh though that kinda strikes me as standard. I don't recall a trend of blues/staff responding to threads about game requests. Has anyone tried asking GOG directly?

I do still think the game will show up in the not too far future, such as the Winter Sale like you suggested.

I think Kingdom Come: Deliverance had like a two-week delay, maybe a combination of wanting to focus on Steam (and getting high up on the Steam bestselling list) and not wanting an easily-pirated installer out there.

There are various old AAA games on Steam that can be easily pirated but still aren't here, like various EA titles.. (I guess for EA though maybe they want to focus on pushing the EA Play subscriptions through Steam. Personally I'd take the trade-off of having a similar option show up here - a "purchase EA Play via Galaxy" button on EA store pages, or some kind of ad - in exchange for getting more EA titles DRM-free, but I imagine a good chunk of people, especially forum users, would be upset.)

But I don't want to be off-topic for too long...

GOG.com:
1.Create a sale banner for the frontpage.
2.Remove redundant buttons from the banner. The banner is a button.
3.Generally remove redundant explanations from graphical buttons like "Add to cart".
4.Definitely remove descriptions like "Browse" or "Cart". GOG.com is not a supermarket, I think.
Replace "Browse" with "Learn more" or "Find out", replace "Cart" with "Purchases" or "Bag it" or "Grab it".
Preferably propose active involvement.
5.Sale banner lands to a vertical list with short-out and search filters on top of it. Get rid of horizontal carousels, of any carousels really.

Introduce two buttons at the top left of the list.
Main Deals (Standard discounts)__________Special Deals (Extra/spicy bundle discounts)
Vertical list of games follows for each selection.

Otherwise a single vertical list, where bundle offers have a special graphical stamp/ribbon on their listings, so that they stand out.

6.Remove the "% off your selection" line at the top right, it's redundant. Replace with a large counter banner, at the right side of the page, clearly showing how many games are picked from the list and the extra discount eligible for, with the total price line and checkout button embeded in its bottom.
7.Just do it.

Whatever the official policy deems them to be.
