I created this wishlist item because I wasted plenty of time looking for users stating that the problems mentioned in older reviews were fixed.

You know, you want some game, you notice quite a few people complaining that the GOG version sucks for some reason, but you can only see the change logs of the games in your library. If they would be available from the game's store page it would be really quick to check if the problems were fixed or not. I mean some fixes and improvements go unnoticed and it's quite a shame considering the effort.
I don't have much hope that they will change the game pages to include useful information like this, but I think it's a good suggestion.
I agree that the changelog should be on the public gamecard and not in the library.

Until GOG changes it, I post changelogs of all the games that I own (about 800) in the respective forums.

Agreed. While you're waiting, all the changelogs are already available for reading on MaGog. Here's the link for all the games that have them:

Voted.

Recently, a somewhat similar request was made by eiii:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/provide_the_changelog_of_a_game_as_a_downloadable_text_file

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention PaterAlf's entry:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/post_duplicates_of_the_changelogs_in_the_respective_game_forums

Both of the above got my vote.

Thanks for the feedback and the votes! :) I searched for a wishlist item similar to mine but the titles I saw didn't ring a bell to me. I should've known I can't possibly be the first to wish for public change logs, but at least the title I chose will help more people to find the wish.

I posted the links in my wish, just so the others know about them. Thanks again! :) I hope GOG will step in and tell us they have plans for this feature. It seems simple enough to be available in the near future, so I'll keep my hopes up. :)

Oh, man... the wishlist comments with URLs look so spammy it hurts my eyes. Does anyone know if that's reported as a bug/issue and what's the status? :-/

Thanks for the effort :). Much appreciated!
Thank you too, Niggles! :) I just hope the developers will fix these issues, because these are among the easiest ones.

I don't know... I think it has always looked like that. After all, the wish list is still in beta. :P

Did you mean something like this?
I agree. Since I believe that this is one of those rare features coming from the community which GOG has yet to implement, I'm sure GOG will prioritize this once they've seen your wish. Good luck.
We already have change logs, which is great. The problem is we can only see the change logs that we have in our libraries. Now that we officially have change logs, the next step would be to "advertise" them on the games' pages, so we can quickly find out if we can ignore the bad reviews or not. There are quite a few games that got updates with various fixes and I would bet there are also people who didn't buy those games because they read bad reviews. I know I have, so there's at least one. :)

Yes, checking the "What did just update" thread can be a solution somtimes but it's far from ideal. With a single click we could find useful information directly on the game pages, so I'm looking forward to see this implemented. I'm sure it won't be ignored for too long. (fingers crossed :P)

While you're waiting with your fingers getting progressively cramped, just making sure that you saw my post above, which mentions that they are all already one click away on MaGog.
