Breja: Mine is "the Infinity Engine games are overrated, they did not age all that well
Klumpen0815: Why do you say that? I meant gameplay, not graphics, if that's what you're implying. The graphicsare fine, although in combat it does sometimes become a chaotic mob o pixels, especially with large groups in tight spaces.
I was never a fan of those games. They felt cluttered, I never felt fully at ease playing them. It always felt like swimming up river, fighting the game, rules and mechanics that seemed ill-fitting. Combat felt all wrong, way to chaotic and unwieldy when it should be way more tactical and turn based. I can actually make a whole list of recent games that feel way more like D&D, despite not being D&D, than the Infinity Engine games. The pages upon pages of unvoiced dialogue also kill me. Don't get me wrong, I don't need everything read to me, it's just that the voiceless empty silence while I read all that is killing me. And a lot of D&D did not work well in the form it was translated to a game, like running out of spells, and resting all the goddamn time.
I don't know, maybe I'm all wrong. It's just my issues and pet peeves, I always had issues with those games, and never got into them despite trying again and again. If I played one again I'd probably be reminded of a dozen other things that piss me off.
