IronArcturus: I know Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs has low ratings, but is it worth the current price? The first version was great so I've always wondered about the 2nd one.
I've been playing both for the first time this month. Overall, I think Machine for Pigs is a worthy follow-up to the original Amnesia. They made a few changes to the gameplay, some of which are bad ( no more inventory? ), others don't matter much either way. It's probably true that the original Amnesia was a bit better, but most of the important elements are still there in the sequel, and it's worth a look if you enjoyed the first one.

PhilipG: Hmm, Witcher 3 for €42 not €60? I see CD keys for it being listed elsewhere for €22. If those other keys being sold are not legit, why aren't GOG doing anything about them? If they are, why are GOG not even close to matching them? Work with me here, GOG! I'd much rather buy from you. :) I'd also like some money left over to buy something for my wife this Xmas! ;)

CharlesGrey: Witcher 3 is easily worth the €42 GOG is currently selling it for. You pretty much have two options: Buy it now, if you can afford it, or keep waiting for a bigger discount. ( During the holiday sales perhaps? )

Either that, or take a gamble and buy from some shady code reseller. But if you do, and the code turns out to be useless, please don't come running to the forums to whine about it, since there's been enough threads for that. Thank you! :P
Nah, I suppose in that case I'd get my money back from my cc company or PayPal. :P

Aside from the "shady" resellers, Amazon has the DVD of the game at 40% off around €36. Again, not as expensive as gog has it on sale. :/ I guess I will wait, because I do want to support gog, although I really can't justify spending such amounts on any game, no matter how good it might be. Maybe there'll be a cheap GOTY edition next Xmas. :P
Nice promo, already have a majority of the games I want, but picked up Nosferatu and Devil's Dare. Thanks!

In that case, feel free to try your luck, I suppose. It's just that many people seem to fall for those questionable reseller sites, and then blame GOG when they end up with a non-functional game code. Since Witcher 3 in particular is such a high-priced and popular game, it has attracted all kinds of shady elements, trying to make a quick buck. In the past some people ( or professional groups ) bought ( cheap ) Russian codes for the game en masse, and then resold them to international customers. ( Which is why they introduced the regional restrictions. ) And more recently, apparently many game codes were purchased using stolen credit card data.

So there's a lot of fishy business going on, but in the end it comes down to this: If a site not related to GOG is able to sell the game significantly cheaper than CDPR's direct distribution partner, you have to ask yourself how that is possible, and whether there's something wrong with those offers. As they say, if something looks too good to be true...

And I understand if you feel the price is still too high ( even if it's justified, based on the quality and amount of content ). I very rarely spend that much on a single game myself, maybe once a year, and never on a purely digital release. If you wait a bit longer, at least you'll get the best and most complete version of the game.
I will be able to remove a bunch of wishlist entries after this sale.

Deciding if such offers are legit i a huge problem. But all other distributors have to be cheaper or at least have the same price. If the direct distribution partner was cheaper, no one would buy anything from resellers. That's the reason why most shops sell physical goods at a lower price than the manufacturers' official web shops.

Well, GOG have previously stated that they don't sell codes to third party reseller sites. So buying GOG codes elsewhere is always risky, especially if they are significantly discounted, when compared to the official price here. It's not impossible to acquire legit codes that way, if in example, someone received the code as a gift/ part of a bundle deal or won it somewhere and just wants to get rid of it via some trading site. But it's always a gamble, and people need to understand that GOG aren't responsible for trading done on those sites. It's ridiculous when people buy GOG codes from highly questionable sources, essentially cheating GOG ( and CDPR, in the case of Witcher 3 ) out of their profits, and then they have the nerve to come here and complain if their code is useless, instead of contacting their trade partner and/or trading website.

Cheap games, yay!
I can recommend The Last Door, even though the story isn't finished yet. Hopefully there will be a sequel sometime.

I emailed support about this once - cant remember what they said though when i queried whether the site i pointed them to was a authorised reseller ..(Nuuvem)

They have already released some episodes of the sequel on their site and Steam and are planning a full release for Early 2016.
Spooky.

Nuuvem has regionally-locked Witcher 3 (plus many other games), so I don't think they particularly care.

Fairfox: I've still got my claws hovering over the two Amnesia titles, but I'm being all frugal and still (x2) don't want to pay $10 for the pair.

The style of DEVIL'S DARE (capscapscaps) really, really appeals, but it's meant to be too tough and I don't want to buy something that kicks my ass; I can get that kinda thing for free elsewhere. However, it doesn't go on sale very often... weighed up against the fact it's still too much. Bleh.
Amnesia has a demo, which is what I bought it of the back of. Always felt this was the best way to decide if you think it's worth the money or not(probably why no-one does demos anymore:))
