Deals on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt & Hearts of Stone, STASIS, Victor Vran, Sanitarium and more...

You have been spooked by the spooky promo!
<span class="bold">Halloween Monster Hunt</span> is our celebration of the great, annual hunt of all that is spooky - whether you're gearing up for the fight or getting the hell out of harm's way, these games at up to 80% off will get you in the right Halloween mindset. Trick or treat!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the definition of a true Halloween Monster Hunt - all day, every day. Gear up for the hunt and join Geralt on a potion-fueled marathon of death, and burning passion. With a bestiary as thick as The Witcher's, the monsters never stop coming.
Victor Vran is for all the hunters out there - it's an action next-step in aRPG design - a game that puts movement and action first, truly putting the "a" in aRPG. So leap, dodge, and wallrun, around hordes of monsters and vampires - plus, you'll get to check out the special Halloween DLC!
The monsters of Sanitarium are living deep, deep inside you. Take on a psychotic cult-classic adventure across surreal and disturbing universes and take on the monsters lurking beneath your skin.
Something scary this way comes. STASIS is a spiritual successor to Sanitarium in the grungy hand-drawn art, music composed by the legendary Mark Morgan of Fallout and Planescape: Torment fame, and a constant, overwhelming feeling of loneliness and insanity.

Become the hunter or the hunted in the <span class="bold">Halloween Monster Hunt</span>, with 38 spooky scary titles up to 80% off including Kholat, Outlast, Deadly Premonition, Amnesia and more... We'll be Trick or Treating for five days, until Monday, November 2, 10:59 AM GMT.

JLH: I guess it's time I try Alan wake's American nightmare...

Try the original Alan wake if you haven't already. It's so good. Has a Stephen king vibe. Deadly premonition is another good one with a twin peaks kinda vibe.
Deadly Premonition as a game was good but it was a sloppy port to the PC.

IAmSinistar: Probably most comparable to Amnesia, in that there are monsters but its best to avoid them and hide a lot. As someone who is interested in the original mystery I wanted to like this game, but it didn't quite come together for me on the first attempt at playing it. Maybe I'll give it another chance if I get snowed in one day. :)
Thanks. That sounds like I might like it. I think I'll give it a try.

Fairfox: I've still got my claws hovering over the two Amnesia titles, but I'm being all frugal and still (x2) don't want to pay $10 for the pair.

The style of DEVIL'S DARE (capscapscaps) really, really appeals, but it's meant to be too tough and I don't want to buy something that kicks my ass; I can get that kinda thing for free elsewhere. However, it doesn't go on sale very often... weighed up against the fact it's still too much. Bleh.
Skip a machine for pigs it's awful, that'll save you some cash. :P

It's a somewhat fun Streets of Rage type of game, though it is difficult. I actually gave up on it in part because the catchphrases from the player characters are too damn repetitive. If you could switch those off it would be a much better game.
Do I want to pick up Outlast in this promo?

*starts pacing back and fourth*

decisions decisions............

Do it! It's a great scary game! The expansion pack was pretty good too.

Spectre: Deadly Premonition as a game was good but it was a sloppy port to the PC.
initially yes it was terrible. but they've patched it up. now all the problems are in the game's design. aspects of it felt unfinished. like the fact that you can look through windows for a peeping tom adventure but you never see anything cool (unless I've missed something...???). combat was repetitive too and some of the textures were ps3 quality here...and sadly ps2 quality in other spots. overall I LOVED deadly premonition though. although alan wake is a technically superior game in the graphics and gameplay department....deadly premonition is one of the best games for mood/atmosphere although alan wake does a good job there too. like I said...I recommend both to anyone who hasn't tried them. :)

Pretty good sale...and lots more games than past Halloween sales. Too bad I already owned over 2/3 of them. Ah well , got 3 new ones at least.

Where the hell is Costume Quest 2!?
Very good promo, and well timed. Was just hoping the Halloween sale would be soon.

Also, when can we expect the Insomnia/Fall Sale/Winter Sale triple combo? =)

indeed a good sale

i already had a few:

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition
Last Door: Collector's Edition, The
Sanitarium
Cat Lady, The
Bad Mojo Redux

too bad the dracula games arent like black mirror and black mirror 2
i checked the walkthroughs on youtube but it uses a rotating the screen with the cursor, too bad cause if it had been exactly like the way black mirror and black mirror 2 play i would have bought them.

The rest are fpp and not 3pp.
And some games are just a bit to horrific: like harvester, i watched the entire playthrough video on youtube , its horrifc and it does not really have a story or any logical reason of it all behind it :D

forgot Gabriel knight 20th anniversary ed.! that's a great one...although the game can still freeze here and there so save often. man...I enjoyed it a lot. some pros and cons compared to the original but enough pros to make it worth checking out for fans of the original imo.
Hah, I expected there would be some Halloween promo, and that Kholat would be a likely candidate for a discount. Bought a copy, along with a few others, so I own more than half of the games featured in this promo now. So much spoopy! :D

PhilipG: Hmm, Witcher 3 for €42 not €60? I see CD keys for it being listed elsewhere for €22. If those other keys being sold are not legit, why aren't GOG doing anything about them? If they are, why are GOG not even close to matching them? Work with me here, GOG! I'd much rather buy from you. :) I'd also like some money left over to buy something for my wife this Xmas! ;)
Witcher 3 is easily worth the €42 GOG is currently selling it for. You pretty much have two options: Buy it now, if you can afford it, or keep waiting for a bigger discount. ( During the holiday sales perhaps? )

Either that, or take a gamble and buy from some shady code reseller. But if you do, and the code turns out to be useless, please don't come running to the forums to whine about it, since there's been enough threads for that. Thank you! :P
