Hello!

We are a group of 5 students based out of Sweden currently in development of a game only known as Project Flour/ Flour Power! It’s an intense and high-energy game where the goal is to grind flour and upgrade your windmill! We’re currently looking for people to playtest for us, so that we can make improvements on the game that align with what our players want to see, and you have a chance to influence those decisions!

We’ve had a few play-tests and are now finally ready to deliver you our alpha! It features 10 playable levels of different design, and we want to know what you like/dislike about those levels, so that we can create more of what you LIKE and less of what you DISLIKE! From the game’s menu (accessed by hitting the escape-key) you’ll find an option to take our survey, which questions you about the levels you’ve experienced, and we’d be extremely grateful if you shared your opinion on our game.

After some feedback we have now changed so that you don't need to register with your email before testing. We hope that this will make some of you more inclined to test the alpha and give some feedback of what we should change :)

WindmillWorkshop: It seems we cant post links so if you are interested send us a message and we will give you the link directly.
Thank you for your time!
You need a minimum rep (I believe it's 10) to post links.

You can always skip the http:// part of the link and post the rest of it in the thread.

Thank you for the tip! Hope you will want to check it out :)
Any gameplay video? I hesitated to download something I don't know anything about. I usually know if I'm gonna like a game or not based on gameplay video.

Also what engine do you use? What platform do you plan to support?

I was thinking about.

But your page does not really give a lot of info and sharing an email address with an unknown dev, hm....Yes I could use a throwaway address, but I think you might get my point ;)

No way to make the game accessible without this restriction? At least me I am rather reluctant to do so as you also expect to get some info back from me (bugs and so on)

Correction: That is the link for a page where one can subscribe to your newsletter. Since there is no mention of an unsubscribe option, I choose not to do that. If you really want people to test your game, please respect their privacy, and don't demand that they give you their email address.

We dont have a video of gameplay yet as we are still in an alpha phase. We will probably make a video of gameplay when we have some more art in the game.

We are building the game in Unity and in the beginning we will only support PC but plan on expanding to mobile as well when the PC version is ready.

Yeah we have understood that now and have lifted the requirement of registering before downloading :) If you go to this page now you can download the alpha directly: windmillworkshopblog.wordpress.com/download/
Hope that you will want to answer the survey afterwards :)

Yeah we have understood that this was a bad way and have now removed the requirement of an email adress to download the alpha. We hope that you want to take a look at it now :)

Just bumping this because, seriously, you need more feedback than mine.

Your blog says you are trying to start your own game company, and will release your first game around Christmas. I guess that can only mean that your first game is Project Flour. I sincerely hope you do not have too much invested in this, or are absolutely banking on it being a commercial success, as I am quite certain it won't be. But I am one guy, and my opinion on its own doesn't count for much.

Please, fellow goglodytes: try the alpha, and tell the creators what you think.
Since Yesterday I try to find the time to play it, I really want, but this other thread really kept me busy, I think today I will just do it and play it!

Thank you for helping us with your feedback. We are reading everything and try to make something that most people will enjoy.

This is our first game so we don't count on it making a lot of money but rather giving us some experience in creating a game and releasing it to market to see what pitfalls there is and such before we invest to much of our time and money on a project.

We will do our best to improve the game as best we can based on the feedback.

just a dummy reply for now to have this thread in my history and may come back eventually to download/test the game and give some feedback
