Stop pretending you don't see this topic because I know you visit the forums almost every day. I'm not blind and can see your posts in many other topics since June 7 (when this topic was started).

Store problems, including poor technical implementation, shouldn't bother customers. I already have all the content available for Tyranny and I want everything related to this game to finally be marked as owned.

I don't really care how exactly you will solve YOUR problem, even if one of you has to buy these products to provide me (and other users who have the same problem) with the keys. Maybe this will force you to finally start improving your store and catalog.

I'm really disappointed in Gog with this whole situation of the multiple editions not marked as owned. It supposedly isn't that hard to code a fix, at least as far as algorithms and database tables go. The only possible roadblock would be the store code itself. Maybe they code their PHP like spaghetti code? It's not even the length that the problem stays unsolved, but the lack of any acknowledgement that there is an issue does nothing to inspire confidence.

On the other hand they DID integrate the store with Adyen and files hosted at gog-statics a few years ago so there is that. I guess they could do it even if it's messy, as long as they set out to solve the problem.

BTW, I just noticed that the BloodRayne Complete Bundle (as well as the BloodRayne Terminal Cut Bundle) is also not marked as owned, although I have all the products from this bundle in my library.

So have you submitted a ticket and gotten an official response?

It's a waste of time.

They will reply "we will look into it" or "it's a limitation of our system" (why should customers care about store problems?), the ticket will be closed as "solved" and nothing will be done.

Only publicly speaking about these problems can make them start to change something (because it's unwanted truth and potential risk of loss of reputation)

The ticket will simply be "forwarded" to the trash can.

It's literally check marks on the store that you're having a meltdown about. You're not missing any content, you're not missing offline-installers, you're not missing anything, and I know that because I have the same game and version.

I'm sure they'd love to fix it, but there's limited resources here, and it might not be an easy fix. Trust me, GOG is aware of the issue.

Here's an idea - how about you just buy those other versions so you can have check marks next to them? It'd probably be better for you in the long run considering the mental state this "issue" is leaving you in...

I'd go through the proper channels first. At least when you file a ticket, support will forward it to relevant teams who might actually get back to you instead venting on the forums expecting something to be done. It's mostly CSR staff and the occasional PR staff who check the forums anyway. So they're not gonna be able to provide any meaningful responses either.

GOG coders can't (or most likely don't want to) improve the store code, and I have to pay for air to get around the problem caused by their incompetence. As a result, they will continue to do nothing with it, as they have been doing for 8 years already. Sounds like a great idea (not really)!

If they can't fix the code, they can always provide customers with keys for products that are not marked as owned, but they decided not to solve this problem at all. And yes, I continue to insist that this is a store problem that MUST be solved in one way or another.

It would require someone to manually check all the product IDs and untangle the sometimes ridiculous mess in what products are included in what packages, collections, editions etc., compare it with what's currently listed on the store (some games have duplicitous entries with different IDs) and so on. It is a mess GOG drove themselves into by not maintaining order from the beginning, but at this point, it's simply highly unlikely to ever be fixed.

This "non-essential functionality" misleads customers and should have been fixed many years ago. The broken purple dot is "non-essential functionality", while this mess is much more "essential".

I've already suggested one of the possible solutions (providing product keys on demand). This problem can be solved, they just don't want to do anything and there is no need to justify them in this situation.

So you want them to hand out product keys to potentially hundreds of thousands of people who decided to have an OCD issue? Sounds totally unreasonable to me. If it's been this way for 8 years it's unlikely to get fixed anytime soon. Probably because it's not an easy fix at all, and likely very time consuming and costly for something that is extremely minor.

If this is such a huge issue than why don't you just buy these multi-version games on Steam or something, and only buy the non-OCD games here on GOG?

I was being totally serious that you should just by the other versions so you can have checkmarks from them. You're probably not doing your mental and physical health any favors by getting so worked up about something so minor, and it's really getting to mental illness levels now.

Hell, I'd actually just buy the versions for you myself when they're on sale if I didn't think you'd come back the next day to complain about a different game, or for the fact that you're kind of acting like an asshole and disrespecting the wonderful people who work very hard at GOG.

Here are the facts - You're not missing any content. The game, all it's DLC, and bonus extras are available through Galaxy and Offline Installers. I own the same game version as you do. You're having a mental breakdown because you don't have grey checkmarks next to a couple versions of the games. That's it! This "essential" issue in your mind is in reality about as non-essential as they get.

Everyone at GOG works extremely hard, and are probably overworked to be honest. They definitely don't get the appreciation they deserve around here. I understand how it's frustrating to have "issues" not yet resolved, but please don't disrespect the GOG team.

It's not a problem though. It's a very minor display issue at best, that most sane people don't even think twice about. Are you missing content for the games? Are you not able to access them? The answer is no to both of those questions.

Every major store has their own little quirks or idiosycrasies, and for now a missing check mark is something you're going to have to deal with on GOG. Like I said, you can always just go ahead and buy games that have numerous different versions on Steam, and just leave GOG for the games that won't have your personal issue.

But no, I won't stop calling it "OCD", because this isn't normal behavior here from some who's sane. It's the kind of behavior and outbursts you'd see from someone with a mental illness. I mean, this is all over about some grey check marks...

I don't know anything about any Witcher 2 achievement promise, but I've played the game numerous times, and achievements wouldn't really add anything to the already great experience. Maybe the devs were too busy making one of the greatest games of all time, and decided it wasn't worth the resources to put Achievements to The Witcher 2? Dunno, but I really don't care.

My experience with GOG has been very good. I just had an actual issue (unlike you) with missing content that was frustrating, but they took care of me and fixed it. The support staff here is top notch, and some of the most pleasant people I've ever dealt with.

They were busy adding achievements to the Steam version of the game, while treating their own store and its customers as second-class citizens.

Your good experience is subjective and not enough to speak for all customers that everything is "top notch".

If you take off your pink glasses, you'll see that GOG has a lot of problems, including a lack of communication with customers. This topic is almost a month old, and not a single GOG representatives showed up here with an apology and a solution to the described problem.
