Maybe fellow GOGites can help out - I'll be hosting a game room at a convention next week and I'm trying to figure out how to make decent printable Steam code gift cards for participation rewards. (Quite a bit too!) I could always just use a basic Word template but I would like them to look just a tad more stylish. Did anybody run into the same situation before? I've tried googling around but all I get is holiday papercraft and key scam sites.

tl;dr how to printable steam codes pls help

Just use any graphics editor and make your own.

Plenty of Steam and other images and fonts available online.

One possibility would be to use templates or something like Magic Set Editor to create CCG-style cards.
I'm curious, why not GoG codes?

I'm guessing it's because most gamers are sadly steam zombies and their brains would explode if introduced to the concept of PC gaming outside of Steam, or at least that's what on has to consider when thinking of a roomfull of random people.

If you're giving out free games why help strengthen a dominant (and in my mind abusive) oligarch when you can help the underdog. I'd rather have a DRM free free game.

Don't guess, there could be a number of reasons why the OP has Steam codes.

Anyway, not your business and you are derailing the thread, please desist.

He could have plenty of Steam codes already stored up from bundles or whatever. They're more often than not way cheaper than GOG codes because of this.

To answer OP, what kind of functionality does your printer have? Some printers have a setting to let you print on an index card. If I'm understanding what you want to do correctly, you could print off the codes on a bunch of those with the name of the game on the other side.
Something like this?

I just took a Steam Gift card picture off Google, edited out some text and added the box.

You could either print a bunch off and write the codes by hand, or use a graphics editor to add the codes before printing.

You might want to add another box to put the name of the game in too I suppose.

I guess this depends on how many cards you need to print, and how many different games we're talking about, but how about priting out some picture with the game's art, like a box cover, with the code on the other side?

I've personally bought a LOT of bundles over the years, let's just say. Got some keys from other people too. Shame to let extra keys rot in an account page. I wouldn't mind giving away GOG codes at all, it's just I don't have any. Also, I have to assume people are more familiar with Steam, and even so I need to put in instructions for redeemal for possible first timers.

If I'll just print something simple I'll just do it at home, but a fancier design I'd print at a photo shop. Something like a small index card would be the best, yes.

Yeah, simple enough, I'll use this in a pinch if needed. Thanks!
