RIP.

The man bravely served his country in the Navy during the Second World War.

I doubt many of the people damning him have ever risked their skin for their countries.

Sulibor: Why there is so much hate? A decent member of the royal family died. Someone’s husband, someone’s father and someone’s grandfather.
I think honestly a lot of people are completely jaded of the monarchy. I find the continued existence of it to be perplexing, but I wouldn't exactly go biting at the bit to make ill.
Rest in peace

anyhow

imagine the horror for people forced to hear that bells 99 times.

Very sad, very likeable man, had a great sense of humour. Too bad he lived long enough to see what a disappointment his grandson was.

How do you mean?

I was referring to all that stuff with Harry and his horrible wife trash-talking the monarchy. Terrible people. I actually once liked Harry (he killed quite a few Taliban with his helicopter gunship iirc), but what he's been doing recently is just disgraceful. Should be disinherited and banned from Britain for life.
But probably best not to discuss this any further :-)

Rest in Peace. I liked Prince Philip (he is spelled with only one "l" by the way) and find it sad he missed his 100th birthday by 2 months.

I'd put this on a giant flashing billboard above planet Earth. Maybe someone out there knows the answer to why humanity likes to hit itself in the head with a bat.

Just like traditional cooking recipes, they are part of local history and some people find it hard to let go of the past.

If we have to mourn anything, let's mourn the loss of the person, not the role he filled in. RIP.

Remember this? Rest in piss.

(inb4 someone accuses me of hypocrisy: Crimea is Ukraine, and I'll be gravedancing when the botox dwarf bites it, too.)

Good riddance to the taxpayer funded "royal" parasite.

For the life of me I could not understand why British people are still stupid enough to respect and worship these "royals".

What exactly have the "royals" done to make this terrible world a better place ?
Well, he had a long life, filled with many funny antics. Partially intentional, partially not. May he rest in peace.
This thread was a mistake. Creepy, hateful dickheads are just crawling out of the woodwork. I guess it's at least useful in reminding us how horrible some of the users here are.

FTFY. It's a global "pandemic" with no possible vaccine.

I'm surprised, not at the negativity, but that it is all from foreigners. Why do so many non-Brits have angst about the British monarchy? It's not like they have a track record of insulting other people's countries.
