70% of people in the stupidly religious USA support gay marriage at this point, let alone basic gay rights. Lots of crybabies who can't accept the world is changing like to complain about it being "in their face" but nobody cares anymore. The fight is over, you lost.

I am LGBT and can confirm I do not wait for LGBT specific sales, and also don't feel the need to consume exclusively LGBT games(and other media) either.

Dude the first post talks about "normalizing the behavior."

If you read the thread title and the first paragraph of the OP post carefully, you'll see it's clearly talking about/focusing on pride month events like the ones GOG/steam created....not basic gay rights and etc.

Maybe next time you might want to read such posts slowly and carefully, and not jump to conclusions?

I am temped to say the sales so many companies do of that nature is aimed at the people who want to go'' see we are allies ..we got games that are LGBTQ+ Friendly we care see'' or the fools who assume LGBTQ people only want to indglue in that sort of stuff and but that stuff cheap to iether gift or have for when they have a LGBTQ+ person around and be like''Oh I bet you'll love this stuff''
sorts that treat minorities of any kind more like purse puppies , little children , mentally handicapped or a fad of some kind.. As I have run across so many lacking such self awareness or such try hards they come off worse then those who are openly bigoted and know it on some level

Anyway on a related topic anyone hear about Q-force and how much a dumper fire that seems to be? That Netflix had made for the LGBTQ+ community? Its what I see as a representation of what companies see LGBTQ+ community as .. rather then actual humans at this point because of how so many companies on really goes on about LGBTQ+ stuff in and around pride month as a whole ..

Again I don't mind who or what anyone is so long as they are respectful and not jerks but I just felt I needed to throw my too sense in on how I feel about companies doing this marketing crude only at specific times of the year for specific people as a whole

Again, he talks about "normalizing the behavior" and "exposing kids to it." The point is, that's no longer anything at all concerning because it already is normal and accepted by the vast majority of Western society. That battle is over, so you're pissing at windmills.

Yeah just wanted to expand abit on it as it seems too many assume that people against Prime month stuff are all about being some ist or phob sort.. When there is several who are against Pride month and other similar things for the exploiting in one way or another that happens .. plus when alot speak out about it and get attacked for reasonable critics of such things so much it can and will in time make a person bigoted because they have reasonable critics yet get called such things so much or accused of being something they started on some level hating those they tried to stand up for to not be treated like just a thing made to sell more stuff with .. As it'd make anyone bitter over time

Also, i'd like to state(as an LGBT): no good knights are needed in this thread atm. Mayhaps yon GOG reddit might be in need of thine services...you might want to check there.

Oh and its nice to actually have another level headed LGBTQ+ member rather then one accusing people of being hurtful or bigoted for being against pride month crude .. Side note personally I don't see a need for time of a year dedicated to specific minorities unless each race ,sexaulity and so on gets time out of each year dedicated to them and same with sales focused on such things as that'd be equal treatment

True thats likely though I have a friend thats part of the community that sees me against Pride month as hurtful and bigoted despite all my beef with it is the sale crude and also the extremists .. Granted I openly say I ain't a allie nor part of groups of anything truly I am likily what people once would call a ''fence sitter'' as in picking no side and being like '' Whatever I will call everyone out on the BS I see and might focus on the ones with the worst BS at the time.'' but now its usually being called being in the Center .. Then again I was in the time the 90's had one extreme and now for over a decade another extreme has taken hold .. So I am wondering how this one will play out because as the saying going'' when the pendulum goes so far it then swings so far back.. ''Which seems to be nearing its swinging back phrase .. So I kinda wonder what the end result will be

First and foremost, USA is not the center of the Universe, there are countries out there that openly oppose homosexuality and the LGBTQ movement.

The image is different in other parts of the globe and a prime example (since it is considered a rather advanced society) is Israel (47%). India (the second-most populous country) was at 37%, whereas Indonesia (the fourth-most populous) at 9%. In Nigeria (which is the most populous African country and seventh worldwide) acceptance rate is at 7%. Not necessarily conclusive, but it paints an image: wealthier countries have a tendency to accept homosexuality (at least on paper).
The world is changing (or has changed) for some, not for all. There is a difference.

Oh and FYI for me I see calling oneself a allie as stupid .. Because it shows you are allinging oneself with a group over another .. where as myself I don't align with any group or person persay.. I stand up for anyonme if I feel they have been wronged no matter who or what they are,, aswell as no matter what they believe in or think

Such types are what are called tribalists....if you disagree with them on a tiny bit(say not supporting such game sale events for various groups) then you're their enemy. My advice? Pay such types little(or no) mind.

A good stance to be sure...if only there were more like you in the world, eh? ;)
