So I am curious if anyone knows of any specific pre-paid credit cards that are able to be used here on GOG to make a purchase directly in the US?

What I don't want, is to have to go through a 3rd party such as Paypal.

I would appreciate people who have actual experiences, rather than "you could try...".

I don't want to load $$$ into a card I cannot use here.

Thanks =D
I'm pretty sure I've spent visa gift cards here in the past.
I'm pretty certain it MAY be possible as long as the card is international friendly. But I thought I would ask anyway. =)

Shmacky-McNuts:
1. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments using Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards and PayPal, worldwide. Also, in countries in which these payment methods are available, we also support paysafecard, Sofort, GiroPay, Yandex and Webmoney. All our prices are in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and Rubles, but you can freely switch from your local currency to USD, if you prefer - look for a drop-down menu on the bottom-right of the site. Details about pricing in different currencies can be found below. Please be aware that PayPal's services for sending and receiving funds may vary, depending on your country. For more information click here.
2. What is Paysafecard?
Paysafecard is a prepaid online payment method which is distributed in physical form, either as a paper voucher or a card. It contains a unique 16-digit code. Basically, it allows you to make a purchase on the Internet if you do not have a credit card or a PayPal account. All you need to do is to buy your paysafecard in one of thousands of physical locations, and then use the code to purchase something on our website.

Edit: so it looks like paysafecard is your #1 option

What Sachys said. You can find a place to buy a paysafecard on their website.

I use it all the time and never had any problems with it. It's basically like stuffing cash into your PC. You go to a store, buy a card (10, 25, 50 bucks) and you get a 16 digit PIN. When you buy a game on GOG, you'll be redirected to paysafecard.com on checkout and have to enter this PIN (you can enter multiple PINs too). That's it.

I just used an American Express gift card a few days ago to make a few purchases here. Didn't need to register the card or anything. Just enter the info like you're paying with a regular credit card.

misread that as ninjaBERRIES - the thought of murderous fruit on the forum was disturbing enough before I remembered we already have P1na
Thanks. I'll try to find this paysafecard thingy. But feel free to post any more information of pre-paid cards that work on GOG. Because I'm certain I'm not the only one that would like to know.

Thanks again.

Not asking for the number obviously. But could you tell me what card it was specifically?

There are a number of types(like, gold silver etc.)

I can only tell you what doesn't work. I've tried standard VISA, standard Mastercard, and green dot. None of them have worked. I tried another one that links to Paypal... it was horribly annoying. I may try paysafe at some point... but would much rather some form of GOG cash/wallet/giftcard.
If they were to make their own card like, Google Play cards. That would be an instant hit for me.

Buy a piece of paper and just use it as needed. HUGE win if they could do that for us.

I believe it was an "American Express business gift card" (I got it through an office thing). IIRC, that's actually what I put in the name field. The only thing that tripped me for a moment is that the security code is actually a four digit number on the right side of the card's face, not the three-digit number on the back like most cards.
