Shmacky-McNuts: n the USA and Canada, all cards have a policy in which cards may only be used in country. To use out of country, it must be activated with and to a live bank account+ a identifying piece of personal information, such as drivers license.

mistycoven: This is not correct. I've used both prepaid Visas and prepaid Mastercards to purchase from the U.S. and internationally. No ID or bank account is required. There is literally a web site where you enter whatever name, address, and phone number you like, and the card can immediately be used to complete purchases online with no verification whatsoever.
No. These cards literally tell you in the fine print, they cannot be used internationally. So you are lying or ignorant. Either way, the cards state what I wrote as correct. Plus I have tested visa, mastercard and amex cards. I have also had this discussion numerous times here over the years and many others have been saddened by the lack of international use.

Sites these cards may be used in are in country. GOG is not in USA nor Canada and as such they do not function. This is a non topic now with you.

It's a non-topic because I've used prepaid Mastercards to buy from GOG. I have literally bought from this web site, using a prepaid Mastercard. They do not require a linked bank account, nor do they require any identification. You don't know what you are talking about.

This may work for you because you are in Canada, it will not work nor will any prepaid card work if you are living in the Unites States of A

Having to link a prepaid card to Paypal is like closing the door after the cow has escaped.

You will have to make a decision like I did, Stop buying from GOG or dance in the lightning and take your chances, your call!

They're actually not related to AmEx at all, that's just the "brand" of gift card.
The company is actually InComm. the easiest way to utilize the funds is to "opt out" of the contract,
citing that you cannot use the card as intended. it's the last paragraph, last page of the contract
