Yes, I was Interested until I saw that.
I love the game Submerged (Steam, wish it would come to GOG) because it's peaceful and beautiful. When I saw this I thought "Wow, more sailing fun!" But then I saw "survival" and "crafting" and "hunting". Nah. Busywork and aspects that remind me of real-life cruelty doesn't appeal to me in the slightest, unless those aspects are 100% optional.

A pre-order bonus? No thanks. I won't be pre-ordering this, and I won't be buying it, later, unless the pre-order bonus is reasonably obtainable after the game goes 'live'.

Yeah, any kind of exclusive content like that leaves a bad taste just by its existence.

[Legend of Zelda: the WindWaker]
It definitely has something "Zelda-esque" about it.
Though, as someone who has played "Breath of the Wild", I think I would rather compare it to that.
Looks good, but, honestly, I think most people are getting tired of the whole "survival/crafting/scavenging" genre. My life is full of chores as it is, I don't want my games to be another one. Make the whole crafting and scavenging elements optional, and I might consider it. This is exactly why I hated Breath of the Wild, despite being a huge Zelda fan ever since 1989, when I played the first one on the NES.

Just... give us a proper action-adventure, already...

That would require making actual content, and busywork stretches playtime (big selling point these days) for cheap.

I agree, this looks like a Windwaker clone. Windwaker had a lot of sailing between islands (its main 'gimmick'), which judging from the screeshots this does too. WW got great reviews, but imo wasn't one of the better Zelda games. I found the design to be somewhat lazy, with a lot of empty ocean and a few mostly very small islands. The first couple of hours in the first area were amazing, but it ended up with a lot of tedious too-ing and fro-ing across the empty ocean.

This one looks like it has a similar art style to BotW, with a Windwaker-like design. I'll keep an eye on it. Could be really good, if they improve on some of the issues with Windwaker (i.e. have more substantial/interesting land masses).

Edit: it's also got hints of 'Moana', with the girl protagonist; tribal body art; spiral pattern on her hand.

Tauto: Why always a girl?
Most modern american games are being aimed at girls to push this girl power crap.

Too bad girls dont buy these kind of games.

This looks like one of those games that will get woke, go broke

A pre-order bonus exclusive eh?

Unless I'm able to buy that content after the release I will pretend this game doesn't exist and spend my money elsewhere. Pre-order content that is not made available after the release is bad business and I've turned down more than a handful of games for this sole reason, two titles that come to mind are Indivisible and Tyranny.
