A role-playing title that introduced the post-apo genre to mainstream gaming in 1988 is making a big comeback soon with revamped graphics and sound.

Get ready for the apocalypse and pre-order Wasteland Remastered from inXile Entertainment on GOG.COM. Join Desert Rangers, the only law left in what was once the American southwest after the Nuclear War.
Nice, wishlisted

GameRager: This would be nice, but seeing as how many get/got it with wasteland 2(as a serial key freebie) I dunno if they could/would....I mean, it possibly depends on if they(GOG/etc) can tell who bought the first game vs. who got it for free(if they go the "paying customers of the old version get a discount on the new one only" route)...well unless they go the nice route and give all gog "owners" of the old version a discount, that is.
Easily fixed discounts given to those that own both W1,and W2, why do they even need to restrict it, but also they can tell exactly how much you paid, it says on the invoice, so it's not an issue in any case.

As you can see from the info I just extracted from my orders page, GOG know who bought what, when, and how much was paid

Wasteland 1: The Original Classic
Order - Sep 13, 2014 - Full Price £4.88 (Paid Discounted Price £1.19)

Wasteland 2 Director's Cut Digital Deluxe Edition
Order - Sep 19, 2014 - Full Price £44.99 (Paid £44.99)

However fuck Preordering pretty much everything, and I thought they were supposed to be making Wasteland 3.
Yes, you can preorder that as well.

Don't think this studios big enough to do both at same time, so this ones being half assed in my opinion.

I was hoping for a wee little discount for the owners of the W1 Classic, but instabuy nonetheless.

This seems to be shaping as another job well done from Krome Studios after Bard's Tale Trilogy.

01kipper: This would be an instabuy for me if it were on MacOS or even PS4.
The Bard's Tale trilogy remaster did get a Mac version in the end, so I wouldn't rule it out.
What does Remastered bring to the table?
https://www.gog.com/game/wasteland_remastered, selected features:
- Wasteland Remastered retains the spirit of the original game while updating visuals and audio.
- Old bugs that have been around since Reagan was president have been fixed.
- Quality of life improvements that make the post-apocalypse a little friendlier.

Curiously specific there. :)
Looking forward to this remaster. It was tough for me to play the original one to completion lol. Wishlisted.

P.S. Now if we could get the Forgotten Realms series remastered, wouldn't that be something lol.
Anyone know what engine this is using?

I still have the disk (floppy? I forget) version of the game, guess that doesn't count? =P

Ditto. If I wasn't spending most of my GOG budget for next month pre-ordering Wasteland 3, and hadn't already drained my GOG budget for this month I might have pre-ordered this but as it stands I'll probably wait until March unless a discount comes down the line in February.
Bought. Hope it's as good as the BT remasters. Took long enough ;-)

considering they gave away WL2 a wee while back and it included WL1, im sure you can see the logic in them not doing that.

Not complaining, as I said, I have bought it in an instant.

I was hopeful, but I just got word from inXile (on their forum) that there are no plans for any other platforms besides Windows and XBox :(. Disappointing but not too surprising I guess, since they're now owned by Microsoft.
