404, peace not found.

Warhammer 40K: Gladius - Relics of War Deluxe Edition is now available for pre-order 10% off, DRM-free on GOG.com.
When the imperials unearthed a bunch of ancient relics on Gladius Prime, they unwittingly set off a bloody chain of events. An ancient horror now stirs beneath the colonies and the planet soon turns into a chaotic, turn-based arena of brutal conflict between the Astra Militarum, the Orks, the Necrons, and the Space Marines. Face friends or AI opponents in the first 4X turn-based strategy set in the Warhammer 40K universe, and make Gladius your field of glory.

I've been interested in trying it out but the reviews even from gamers has been a bit discouraging, is it actually a good game ?.

I have heard it's difficult but that does not concern me but it seems by sitting at 6/10 generally that it should be more issues with the game than merely being challenging but i may be wrong.
Wishlisted. For the Emperor!
this looks interesting
Wishlisted...I'm a sucker for 40K stuff
yes looks worth a risk... wished

For the sake of Emperor, just do it!

shmerl: Who was working on the Linux version for it? It doesn't seem to be Feral (who avoid releasing on GOG), even though they ported Total War: Warhammer.
The game is made by Pandora: First Contatct devs. They made that game linux native. So its the same with this one. Its basically their second 4x game.
I hope it's a improved Pandora with a W40k-theme and not like the other cheap Slitherine WH40k-games that mostly aim to milk the W40k-name
From what I've heard Pandora was kind of buggy at release. Did the devs fix their game over time? If that's the case I might give Gladius a try.
There was revealed yesterday first preview of one of factions - AM/IG:

Slitherine might be milking the name, but they're doing a much better job of it than most of the others, though when they add things like turn limits to an otherwise good game it is pretty frustrating and very limiting.

The 9mm version of the Glisenti was a better handgun then the Cochran but that didn't made it a good handgun.
I understand your point and i am sure my Frustration is feeded by unfullfilled expections&nostalgia but hell...most of the new WH&WH 40K look better but are worse in most other aspects.

Just taking Chaosgate for exp., giving it a better look and improving the UI...that would be allready good...and adding a new&good story....hell

It just feels like planned deceit that so much crap is thrown out...

Or just make it work on GOG with Win10.

I’ve been playing it a lot without finding any bug in the current version. (had some graphics glitches on older versions)
Actually Proxy Studios seem to support their games for quite a long time post-release.

My only complaints about Pandora are the subpar writing in diplomacy screen, and the lack of hot-seat multiplayer. I actually managed to hack some kind of hot-seat multiplayer for the Linux version, so only the poor writing of the diplomacy remains.
