Evil can be lawful, as much as it can be chaotic.

Tyranny is now available for pre-load through GOG Galaxy!
If you pre-ordered the game, you can start pre-loading right now through GOG Galaxy. Download the client, and begin installing Tyranny.
GOG Galaxy will activate your game automatically on release.

Tyranny - Commander Edition, Obsidian Entertainment's epic RPG that tasks you with enforcing the law over a land recovering from war, is coming soon, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Sometimes you can't control history. However, you can control how its inevitable turns affect the people. After years of bloody conflict, the world of Tyranny has fallen under the rule of Kyros, a powerful Overlord that is now looking for strong individuals willing to enforce his law and keep his subjects in line. Once you become a Fatebinder, you will hold the power to shape the lives of thousands with your decisions. Will you act as an unquestioning instrument of your lord's justice or will you find other ways of bringing order to this broken world? Depending on your choices, certain problems can be overcome with reason or coercion, but for those who defy you, the real-time-with-pause battles will decide the victor.

Pre-order Tyranny - Commander Edition and get ready for a dark RPG from the acclaimed makers of Pillars of Eternity, coming DRM-free on GOG.com.
Grab the official, 18-track OST, a high-resolution map and wallpapers, plus 4 exclusive Coats of Arms in the Archon Edition. To further expand your authority, go for the Overlord Edition, which also adds 3 exclusive short stories, a Guide Book, and a sweet Art book.
Pre-order bonus for any of the three editions: the Fatebinder's Seal and the Commander's Will.

So, how's the soundtrack? Any samples of it on youtube or something? I want to know if it's worth getting Archon edition for.

I like Obsidian, and this looks like a good game. Unfortunately I hate pre-order exclusives. I don't like the idea that the only way to get the exclusives is to buy the game blindly before there are any reviews, game plays, or demos released, no matter how insignificant the exclusives may be. If you believe in your product, stop with the pre-order exclusives.

I would likely have purchased this early after release, depending on reviews. Since I will be denied the exclusives, this will move to the wishlist until the price has dropped drastically. I know that pre-order exclusives are here to stay, but I'm not supporting something that is bad for the consumers.

If the need for a pre-order bonus is deemed necessary, give a discount on the price instead.
Wow, so many complaints.. Hmmm, let me think one myself...

OK, I won't be buying that game because Paradox don't sell Crusader Kings II on GOG. Yep, that's right. Give us CKII!!!

On a more serious note, Tyranny looks tasty, and I mean TASTY! Glad to have it here and I hope GOG or whoever is responsible for the state of the PoE edition upgrading issue, to pay attention to Ganni1087's post.

Breja: Wait... wasn't Tyranny here already? I mean the pre-order or whatever? I could have sworn I already wishlited it here.
So did I, but the wishlist entry is gone, because the old pre-order page was deleted completely and replaced by the new ones. We'll need to re-wishlist this.

Same with Shadow Warrior 2.
are the prices a kind of cheap late aprils fool joke?
There's no way this is actually out in November, is there?

That would be amazing, but it just seems so unrealistically soon.

Ganni1987: Dear GOG,

Is this game going to follow the same poor fate as Pillars of Eternity? By that I mean the lack of upgrade paths between the 3 editions. Might I remind you that as it (still) currently stands, upgrading from Hero or Champion edition of PoE means buying the game twice (and paying twice the amount one would on Steam).

So what I'm saying here, for example: Should I decide to pay 55 Euro for the Archon Edition of Tyranny, then I'd have to pay another 74 Euro to get the Overlord Extras, which equals to buying the game a second time, ignoring the fact that you already own it.

It is sad to say that this mess up is only on GOG, Steam has upgrades paths for Pillars of Eternity where you only have to pay for the missing DLC's not buying the game a second time to get access to the DLC. And please avoid telling me that it's not possible, there's plenty of other games with DLC's and extras.

Finally, as you're probably aware, I've been mentioning this for months and you never said a word about it, not even a how or why and that has left me with a bad taste.

I've been bitten once and I assure you I won't buy this game fearing this might happen a second time.

Kind Regards.

100% agree.

And one more thing, GOG.
Please, mark the games I own as "owned"!
I have Kickstarter's version of Pillars (not listed on the store) and expansion pass on GOG.
The store is telling me that I don't own ANY version of Pillars.
Only expansion pass is marked as owned (but The White March Part I & II are not).
Please, fix this already and add the options to upgrade.

Great to see this (coming) here.

Played PoE and liked it, will get this later. When I have a 64-bit system. Yeah yeah, I know....

I second that. About the upgrade option that.
And the ability to convert all bought dlcs to one single GOTY or Deluxe or whatever there is for some games. Or make them marked as owned.
Thank you :)

80-ish bucks for a purely digital game release? Sounds reasonable.

After all, you're purchasing great value here. Let's see...

Tyranny - Overlord Edition will include the following:
...
- Ringtones: three notification tones and one ringtone
- Overlord Edition Forum Icon (for Paradox Plaza only)
- Forum Avatars (for Paradox Plaza only)
- Exclusive Overlord Editions Forum Avatars (for Paradox Plaza only)
...

I'll just sit here, shake my head, and wonder whatever happened to gamers and the video games industry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
really loved POE, will definitely buy Tyranny, but as a normal purchase after release, I hate pre-orders

To be fair, you omitted like... all of the noteworthy bonuses like the soundtrack and art book stuff.
