Pre-order it now on GOG!
Tetris-ed into the forum!
It's a must-buy for me but I'll wait to gift this to myself for christmas :)
Nothing against tetris but... holy shit that price tag! Are this people insane? I can get a tetris console this very moment for less (i think i still have a tetris console lying around somewhere).

This is part of Digital Eclipses Gold Master series which includes Karateka, Llamasoft the Jeff Minter story (and unofficially Atari 50).

The Gold Master series is a great documentary/gaming series with tons of interviews and behind the scenes content along with the games.
is the multiplayer online with galaxy? And is it going to be cross platform too?

also, will there be any extras besides the 1 hour documentary?

Tetris will be forty next year. How time drops down faster and faster.

GOG.com: Celebrate 40 years of Tetris® with Tetris® Forever, now available for pre-order with a -15% discount!
To mark the anniversary, rename it to Tetr0s for this or the next 10 years.

Edit:
Likely hard to get because of font used, so "0" is zero, not "O"(the letter). Likely doesn't matter much, anyway.

If there's anything I'd say is missing from this collection, Tetris: The Grand Master would have been a fun little addition.
Very much looking forward to this. :)
nice game, high expectations, juggling bricks : )

The most famous Russian game in the world - without Russian localization. Such disrespect for one's roots is unjustifiable...

Does Tetris really need localization in the first place?

That would have made me much more likely to get the game.

Perhaps they might be able to add the TGM series as a DLC at some point?

(Also missing some other famous Tetris versions, like Nintendo's GB and NES versions, Sega's arcade version (and unreleased Genesis version), and Tengen's NES version which was rather famously pulled from shelves as the result of a lawsuit.)

Licensing most likely, I doubt Nintendo would allow a game they worked on to appear on a non-Nintendo platform. The Tengen one is a bit odd as they were originally a division of Atari when they were formed unless the rights ended up elsewhere when Atari was divided up back in the day.

Hopefully they'll at least delve into the legal entanglements of some versions as part of the documentary even if they're not allowed to legally include them.
