AAAAAAAAAH Yourself :D
(coming from CT discord group) The reason why they are releasing Serious Sam 4 on Gog and not 3 and HD is because on launch it won't have Editor and Workshop, that and Survival and Deathmatch gamemodes will come later in patches cause they are a team of 40 people so they can't do everything. The reason why they won't release Serious Sam 2 on Gog though is unclear. It's most likely because Serious Sam 2's code is a mess so they don't want to touch it, they aren't touching the Steam version either since 2016.
No part 2, no part 3, no HD remasters = NO BUY part 4. Sorry CroTeam.

Sadly, this may be the case. Steam version has this stupid bug with making your game's profile broken, which makes also your save game files corrupted and force you to start from the beginning. And it wasn't fixed up to this day.

A real shame, I've played in both SS2 and SS3, both are actually quite fun experience (despite extremely weird graphic style in SS2 and "technically poor" SS3), I would buy them instantly on GOG.

Since Serious Sam 4 is prequel to all those games you can play it first and then ss3, TFE, TSE, ss2 if you want to have 1 continuation.

The Serious Sam games are amongst my favorite shooters. So it's nice to see SS 4 getting released on GOG. But I'm much more interested to get the older Serious Sam games like SS 2 on GOG!

Would it be so hard to just release SS2 as is with a good discount? It still has a very positive rating on Steam, so it clearly works for plenty of people.

SS2 is the one I want the most too, but thanks to croteam I've never had the opportunity to give them money for it.

The only fix I found about that is to press No for profile deletion and then go to new profile, write the same name you had and then you should be able to continue from load game or by clicking Continue Playing button. It sometimes works.

Nope. I want to own them all here. They are ALL available as pirated versions on the net, so I want to buy them HERE. DRM free. So again: no old (missing) games, no sale of part 4.

Your loss tbh. Serious Sam 4 unlike Serious Sam 2, 3 and HD won't have steamworks code in it because there won't be Editor and Workshop on launch and will be added later through patches as I said in post before. If CT wants to add all those games to Gog they would have to carefully extract all steamworks code from SS2, SS3 and SSHD. While it's possible for SS2 it's very hard to do for SS3 and SSHD which are very steamworks dependent.

If they can just abandon one of their previous games on a big platform, how do we know CroTeam won't screw GOG buyers over once the editor/workshop features are added? Leaving the GOG version to rot while focusing on Steam.

We have no reason around here to trust this developer, giving GOG at least SSFE/SE HD would have been a show of good faith and are the ones most of us really want in the first place.

Because unlike SSHD and SS3, SS4 won't have steamworks on start so they can just have 2 branches: Steam branch with steamworks and GOG branch without steamworks but we will see what Croteam is going to do.

And CT always abandones their games after some times. They aren't Valve to support their games forever. Classic TFE and TSE on launch had only around 9 months of support each they re-released them for GOG and Steam in 2010. It's a miracle they even re-released Serious Sam 2 on Steam in 2012 and supported it until 2016 and SSHD and SS3 had support until 2017. They plan to support Serious Sam 4 for 2 years only from what I heard last time so they shouldn't abandon GOG version immediately because it's a new game and not just a re-release.

@Croteam: just release what you can at reasonable discounts. Personally I'm only interested in single-player anyway (though not full price admittedly).

(I know they're unlikely to see this post here, I tweeted at them.)

Nope. THEIR loss (=sale). I don't need to buy their games (have spent too much in the last months, so good thing), they need my money to make further games. Quite simple maths.
