pimpmonkey2382.313: Wish I could get this "free" upgrade, still says 9 dollars and something for me.

Yep.

pykman: I totally agree for saving those pages but even more for saving the original game, avalible for purchase or as a bonus in HD version. But speaking of web pages thanks to Internet Archive Wayback Machine we can still dig up (most of) original game page:

Pathologic
That's always the last resort. But depending on the update cycle archive.org may not have the latest version of a page and all the information. And sometimes not all of the scripting foo of a web page works on archive.org (although they do an impressive job to preserve the original functionality).

But it's sad if that should be the "solution", GOG should preserve the pages themselves.

Only shows the old logo, no coupon code, everything as it had been before this new version.

6 years later and they're still not doing it. It's obvious that they won't bother doing so in the future.

Are there any scripts or tools available to archive this kind of interactive web pages myself, which especially would allow to include the "Read more" sections and all the reviews?

Doing this manually with the browser would be too tedious when you own a lot of games.

Fairfox: I must admit when I wrote my post I was doing so with a wee bit of optimism and an overall hope if I wrote it with authority, it would turn out to be true. Too bad if not, then; I know I wasn't a Kickstarter backer but they'll be getting a digital OST according to the pledge page, which means it'll exist generally, and really GOG shouldn't merge the original and new edition extras/goodies on the main page; even with the parentheses it's not totally clear-cut.
You are aware that Pathologic Classic HD isn't the Pathologic Kickstarter, right? That's still in development.

This is the original game with some enhancements on top of it (most notably, an improved English translation).

Fairfox: I actually edited my post when I realised but... you still quoted it :/.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
aaand I apparently wasted my gift code last night when I used it to just check what the actual price would be. Awesome.

You mean that you activated the code without completing the transaction and now GOG's telling you that it's not valid anymore?

The same thing happened to me with the Strike Suite Zero Director's Cut code last year. Just contact support and they'll get you a working code again.

Yep that's what happened. I've already sent them a message about it, good to know that they'll (possibly at least haha) get me a new code!

omega64: It should be, the game has a new translation.

eiii: The not anymore existing German translation? ;)
Just another reason to dislike the way this upgrade is been handled.

Has it been GOGs or the publishers decision to remove the original game from sale?
Only a new English translation? Weird.
