My Memory of Us is now available for pre-order, 15% off until October 9th, 5pm UTC.
Two kids that come from different places and possess different talents. Their love for mischief and joy will bring them together but the paranoia of war threatens to tear them apart. With a striking use of color and narration done by the legend Sir Patrick Stewart, this lovely puzzle/adventure draws from life in the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII, to tell a story of bravery and friendship which is as bittersweet as it is inspiring.

I thought the swastika ban in video games in Germany is gone since recently.
Why is it region locked anyway?

It looks solid for what it it is, I can dig the monochrome art style and I'm always up for some point&click goodness.... But if there is one thing I've had more than enough it's WWII metaphors. Gonna have to put that on the "maybe one day when I'm all out of backlog" list along with Little Bug.

Not as bad as the more recent zombie flood, is it?

Besides, this isn't a typical WW2 FPS game, and that allegory is more of a backdrop for the story of the two kids. What I want to know is if Pica- I mean Patrick Stewart actually sounds that old now, or if he's trying to sound old.

Also, I can't see why this wouldn't be available in Germany since it's not actually about Nazis or the war, even if the connection is obvious. Plus it supports German language.

I meant in general I could go through the rest of my life without ever being exposed to a story featuring any WWII allegories. It's a done to death trope that I'm just tired of seeing, even if the story is good I'd rather see anything else.

When I first saw "My Memory of Us" I thought, "Oh shit, a virtual This is Us or some other crap." :P

Well, the result is the same.
If a game is blocked, you get redirected to the store's library, same if it doesn't exist for everyone.

But he IS old right now, you can't stay young forever... and yeah, I'll take this over the oversaturated glut of zombie dreck clogging the industry right now!
