djdarko: Great to hear Jan Rabson is going to voice afterall. I made that statement after hearing the voice in the trailer, and checking Jan's IMDB page. Definitely more excited about the new game now.

What is "Las Vegas"? I couldn't find any information on it.

Wow, thanks for the info! I had no idea this existed!

Kunovski: brand new Larry game... and none of the girls seem pretty :( back to LSL7 then
girls look too feminist :D

he tries to charm the girl and the 'girl' ( feminist) is like " duh..."
i hate that

Anyway dont mind equality and equal rights, not at all , but please let them at least look female , the one in the screenshot looks like one in total control and has a : "what you want dude? dont mess with me or ...."
compared to the older games who looked like they were thinking what they could for him ....

Anyway, at 25.49 ( listed at 29.99 EU) they will have to wait a long time before they will give an answer, cause i'll be waiting for a long time ...
Are the Digital Artbook and the Digital Soundtrack included?

Leroux: I feel like the Larry games are pretty much a relict of their time, apparently this one doesn't even involve Al Lowe and neither is it developed or published by Sierra? Pretty weird. But whatever.
I read about it a while ago (and I am a big Larry fan and own all of them here on GOG of course) and yes, it will be quite different and probably will not have the bite that made the originals so charming in the first place. For now I wishlist it and I'll wait for peoples reactions - even though we are talking about LSL.

This I also would like to know.

nightcraw1er.488: If this game is anything like the originals the devs would be swinging from the nearest tree in today's society.

Vythonaut: Funny thing is that the series were already targeted by feminists back then. Not sure what will happen today; other than a couple of gaming websites that may get annoyed and maybe set their comment sections on fire (because advertising!), probably nothing will happen.
Actually, the militant feminists that I know are, on the opposite, huge fans of Leisure Suit Larry.

And I'm not even sure why they shouldn't be (but I've only played the first three).

That the problem. I am so the game will make adjustments to make it acceptable to women noedays, but the Humor that powered the originals ceased to be really shocking years ago. It will have to be really, really, funny to compete with all the soft core porn easily available on the internet nowdays.
The first few Larry games were funny, mainly because of Larry's total incompetence, but that had sort or gotten old by the later game in the series. No matter how funny a joke is,it's get old eventually.
If Terry Pratchett was still alive, I would let him write the story for the new LSL game, he would deliver a masterpiece, no doubt.
You may want to know that Al Lowe was not involved in the making of this game.

An in-name-only, German developed followup to Leisure Suit Larry that has NO input from any of the original creative team? Sign me up!
I had no idea that a new Leisure Suit Larry game was coming. (Not a pun)

Whether or not I care depends ultimately on whether or not Al Lowe was involved here. I get the feeling, just from looking at it - that he wasn't. This reeks of being yet another nostalgia-based cash in by whoever currently owns the IP.

The online-dating based premise sounds stupid. Speaking from personal experience - Larry would almost certainly just be ignored and blocked by every girl he so much as says "hi" to. There wouldn't even be any potentially funny rejection or response to a faux-pas on Larry's part, just nothing.

Also what's with his character design? This is like the least unattractive looking take on Larry I've ever seen.

EDIT: I just noticed that the title's a pun on that Swery game. That's... um...

Is there anything on store pages now to indicate that they are pre-orders aside from released date?

This is... bizarre. Why such a drastic shift in art style?
