Krusbert: The Linux version sadly didn't make it in the initial release due to time constraints, that's why it wasn't in the announcement. The post you dug up has outdated information, sorry about that. To avoid any confusion, I've edited it to reflect the current release plan, which is Windows and Mac only for May 5th.

A Linux version is something I'd like to do later on, and it's something we'll properly re-evaluate post release.
Nice to see a developer being registered on GOG since many years, that tells me something about preferences. :) Also that your game will be released here on GOG the same day as on other platforms.

Sadly the news about the Linux port are not that good. Hopefully the Linux port still will be done. I'll wait for it. ;)

PS: You may want to ask GOG for developer status, so your posts in the forums will be more visible.

A Linux version is something I'd like to do later on, and it's something we'll properly re-evaluate post release. What you are saying about building the AGS source on Linux is technically correct, if you're assuming that the game uses a compatible engine build and no platform specific plugins. That's not true in our case, our code is branched since years back. Getting it up and running on Linux is doable, but not trivial. You'll have to wait for the proper release, I'm afraid.

shmerl: Thanks for clarification. Your game looks promising, and I'll surely buy it when it will be playable on Linux. Always good to see game authors here on GOG, it's not very common :)

Did you develop some specific AGS features that aren't in the vanilla engine, and if so, did you try may be adding them back upstream? Or there is some other reason that your code diverged from it?

Thanks!
Most of the important engine fixes and hacks we did, ironically enough, have been properly implemented in later release versions of AGS, so I don't think we could contribute much in that regard. The problem is mainly a bunch of accumulated hacks and hand picked fixes from various branches, shoehorning some plugins to work cross platform etc. It might be possible to simply upgrade to the latest AGS version at this point, but it's a risky prospect since slight differences in implementations could render the game completely broken.

Thanks for the support! :) And yes, I'll talk to them about the dev status of my account!

Risingson: 4 pages of discussion and no one has said anything about the game. Please. Some opinions?

I mean, it obviously looks like a Wadjet Eye game, but can anyone confirm its goodness or badness?
avatar
Laberbacke: I like it, but I'm heavily biased (beta tester).
Here are the facts:
- First playthrough took me almost ten hours
- No moon logic (which could lead to people calling it "too easy". I found it just right)
- Game looks and sounds good
Thanks, perfect, kind of facts I wanted to know. I guess it is well written and avoids Longest Journey-like over exposition as well?

I can't compare it to Longest Journey since I never played that.

No idea if this helps or hurts, but here is someone playing the beginning of the game:

it looks really cool, I can feel the 90s nostalgia kicking in. No preorder from me tho, I'll wait how it pans out

tburger: Ahh...An Adventure Games fan! High five! There's never enough of them on GOG ..
yes ... high five for me aswell

i share your thought: There's never enough of them on GOG ..
i am 'hunting' the gamestores for more point and click

sad thing is however that there arent that many real adventure games like we used to play them in the past, at GoG, i have all Wadjet Eye games already,i have all flat 2d non zooming/3d adventures aswell....

so some 'adventures' as they sometime call games that arent adventures imho, are not on my shelf cause i dont recognise these as real adventures, maybe i should say point and click, like the indiana jones (not the 3d)
the leisiure suit larries (also not the 3d)

Some nice click and point games i got from steam(sales ofcourse)

Face Noir part 1
The Great Fusion
AlEmmo

Belladonna (weird click and point game) uses wintermute engine

very nice game imho
Lost Chronicles of Zerzura (from Black Mirror 2 and 3 creators)

(there is 4 parts)
ShadowsOnTheVatican_1 (5.99)
ShadowsOnTheVatican_2 (5.99)

bought at sales (quite cheap)
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective / Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective The Case of the Mystified Murders
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective The Case of the Tin Soldier

The Dream Machine (6 parts (flash) sofar 1-5 are released and can be bought
characters are sort of clay , very funny to see (got them at sales)

These less known games are quite good imho.
and my favorites: secretfiles (4 games)

Chronicles of Mystery: The Scorpio Ritual
Chronicles of Mystery The Tree of Life
Sinking Island

Last Half of Darkness - Society of the Serpent Moon (has limited resolution setup, but the game is okay)

Last Half of Darkness - Society of the Serpent Moon REVIEW+GAMEPLAY 7/10
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2-WHNyVXQM

Tony Tough and the Night of the Roasted Moths

Sinking Island (weird game, uses a weird resolution, looks 'different' :D)

these have mixed reviews but i got them at sales and i think they were worth buying these

Art of Murder - FBI Confidential
Art of Murder - Cards of Destiny
Art of Murder - Hunt for the Puppeteer

Thanks for offering the demo! This practice needs more revival. Is the demo listed in the game card? I didn't find it: https://www.gog.com/game/kathy_rain

Thanks! I think GOG should better integrate demo downloads into the main game card, to make it easier to navigate. It's kind of there now in the "series" section, but it's not as straightforward.

Also, congrats for being the first demo appearing in the free GOG's list: https://www.gog.com/games?price=free
For some reason for example Shadwen isn't there.

Sorry, we had a slight hitch on our end that prevented the demo from showing up for a bit.
