The wait is over – you can now pre-order Jagged Alliance 3 on GOG, with a -20% discount for the pre-order period, starting today until July 14th!

Jagged Alliance 3 will give you the opportunity to choose from a diverse roster of mercenaries, each possessing their own distinct personalities, quirks, and backstories. Embark on an adventure through the captivating land of Grand Chien, where you will encounter new individuals, accumulate wealth, expand your team, and ultimately shape the destiny of the nation through your own choices. Grand Chien, a country abundant in natural resources but plagued by deep political divisions, descends into turmoil when the elected president mysteriously disappears, and a paramilitary group called 'The Legion' seizes control of the rural areas. In response, the President's family rallies their available resources, including a partnership with the influential Adonis corporation, to hire a skilled group of mercenaries entrusted with the critical mission of locating the President and restoring stability to the nation.

Don’t wait, pre-order now on GOG!
Very nice, from the few previews I saw bits and pieces of it actually does look like it could turn out to be a half-decent continuation, especially after the couple misfires over the last couple years.

JA2 is in my all-time top3. Great that it's coming here but I will wait for reviews first.
high rated
Hope you like it! Enjoy & stay tuned!
It does look good and I like turn-based strategy games. I never do pre-orders, but I have hopes for this one. I'll keep it on the wishlist and see what the reviews are like.

GOG.com: Pre-order: Jagged Alliance 3
Nice!
There is kind of a bug: I added the game to my wish list but it isn't there - https://www.gog.com/en/u/AWG43/wishlist.

game looks surprisingly promising but if the never pre-order thing ever applied to anything (and it applies to everything), it's the 50th attempt at a decent new jagged alliance game since ja2.

it's also a major dick move from thq to remove the launch discount, so people can't make an informed decisions when the game is actually out. oh wait, you'll have 'a few days' to check random youtubers, what joy. shame on you.

and it's an even bigger dick move not to mention the pre-order/launch discount fuckery here, only in the steam announcement, whether it's gog's usual negligence or an extra portion of shadiness from thq. it says it lasts until july 14 because that's when the game come comes out, then it's time for a launch discount, but not this time.

That's normal GOG. When you wishlist a recently-added game (i.e. added to GOG's catalogue in the last few hours), it often takes a while for it to appear in your wishlist.

P.S. Now it's already listed.

Can yout tell me what platform the limited "Jagged Alliance Tactical Edition" is tied to or if it's tied at all?

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Av3aLT33L._AC_SL1500_.jpg

I could not find 'Steam' or 'online activation' in the description, also the logos show no such thing, so I made sure to preorder it.
Would be cool of course if it was the GOG version (or at least DRM free), but somehow I don't dare to hope.

Previous THQ Limited/Collector's Editions unfortunately were tied to the other platform (without explicitly mentioning it either), thus it's very likely the same for this one as well.
I'm so glad to see this on gog, however given the history of JA games after 2 I'm going to hold off on pre-ordering this one although it looks like they played it safe and I don't see too many new mercs or things different apart from the engine.

Check out some gameplay videos. From what I have seen so far, it's freakin awesome.
I didn't pay much attention to the mercs however, more to how it plays, what possible effects bouncing bullets can have and so on.

And yes, the previous games bearing that name have been awful. These guys seem to have gotten it right however.
Well, they must be pretty confident this time to give it official number 3 :P

Maybe if the mechanics are geared like Wildfire, the game would be decent. Realism in a game like this series should be considered a predominant part of the game.

I have yet to see anything marginally decent in this regard in a long time. Most developers focus on humans having a fish brain, "ohhhhh....sparkly.....". If graphics are decent, stupidity prevails. In both devs and customers.

Need a good turn based example of realism? Go look up Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. While I generally hate the gui for the inventory(tree ui is better), the details in the mechanics are everything in a game like this.

Not likely to succeed though, but I will give a qoute from Alien(the film):
"Ash : I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies."
