Delayed, with a silver lining...

November 3, 2015 - UPDATE:
Due to publisher request, both the base edition and Collector's Edition of Hard West are again available 20% off during pre-orders - purchasing the standard edition will no longer grant access to the Collector's Edition of the game.
If you previously purchased the standard edition, your pre-order will still be automatically upgraded to the Collector's Edition. Look out for a confirmation email before the game's release.
If you purchased the Collector's Edition before November 3, 2:45 PM GMT, you'll soon receive a discount code for any Devolver or Gambitious game on GOG.com. A token of appreciation for your support.

October 30, 2015 - UPDATE:
The Hard West release date has been officially pushed back by two weeks to November 18 - but there is a silver lining! Gambitious Digital Entertainment are making the Collector's Edition available for the price of the standard edition to everyone who preorders the game.
If you already bought the standard edition, your pre-order will be automatically upgraded to the Collector's Edition. Look out for a confirmation email before the game's release.
If you purchased the Collector's Edition you'll soon find a discount code for any GOG.com Devolver or Gambitious game on your game shelf. A token of appreciation for your support.

Your tactical options will include dynamic, improvised cover, ricochets, and using shadows (not just yours) for every advantage you can get.

Hard West is a game that focuses on offering plenty of depth and unfamiliar twists on your favorite kind of squad-based, tactical gameplay.

Your pre-order includes the <span class="bold">Hard West - Digital Collector's Edition</span> complete with a Digital Artbook, Original Digital Comic Book, and the Full Original Digital Soundtrack, all for the price of the regular edition.

Pre-order <span class="bold">Hard West</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com. The discount will last for the duration of pre-orders.
Oh, an unofficial adaptation of Deadlands RPG... Why not ?
Interesting, wishlisted :)
Thanks for bringing it here!

^^ This.

More zombies (™). *YAWN!*
Wishlisted as i've been dreaming for an old west rpg in a fallout style for a very long time. I just hope its setting won't be too drowned in fantasy, but still, that'd make it the next-best-thing.

However, blind preorder = no no (the mere notion of it feels dishonest). Let's first know what we buy.
Generally I don't fancy the Wild West setting but this looks very interesting. I dig the logo with the pentagram and the smoking gun barrels! Hope it's a good game! :)

And something for the devs: If you're truly confident about your game, better release it with a launch discount rather than make us pre-order it. I can't take the risk of buying a game that doesn't work out of the box neither a game that looks good on the trailers/ description but it ends up being completely broken. Unless there is something else about the pre-ordering that I can't think of.

edit: typos

i kinda like the wild west games, unfortunatley its mostly fpp or 3d, the only good wild west game i bought immediately when it came out ( i even bought 2 retail copies ) was Desperados... the 1st one, thats game had it all, the second desperados cant live up to the first one (seems to have some fpp parts in the game thats why i didnot buy desperados 2 on retail when it came out), but thats only my humble personal opinion.

i checked the videos on youtube and the movent and placement is like any other heavy motion involved, turning, tilting like crazy screens, and the likes so another pass because of motionssickness, to bad it looked quite promising to me if it had been more like desperados.

As for preordering: i tried once or twice, wont do it again, cause lateron there be sales with cheaper ones.
Finally regarding having confidence ,faith and believe in the devs their games: i guess that all stopped when gamedemo's stopped, a small playable game demo (no rolling demos thats like a video) shows more of the game then a gazillion reviews on video.
So based on the ? "no gamedemo? " fact kinda shows most devs arent 100% certain of their games, luckily there are some devs who still use a playable demo and i thank them for that, i am old gamesplayer and kinda grew up with playable gamedemos instead of videos watching of how a game looks.

Looks pretty cool, I'll definitely consider it as soon as it actually exists.

This, in a way. I don't mind zombies, but I just don't like fighting demons in games, i've skipped entire games because fighting demons just doesn't interest me :/
This one looks pretty cool, kinda like Deadlands meets Aces& Eights. :-)

So much this! Games are an interactive medium and demos are the only way accurately judge a game's quality. At least with retail games I can re-sell them if I don't like them, but if I don't like a 20$ digital game I'm stuck with it and out of 20$.
I backed this. Hopefully they'll give GOG keys to backers :)
This looks incredible!!! Damnit!! Quit coming out with games I want to play! *sarcasm*

I feel like you can pretty much demand one and they'll comply, if asking first doesn't work, or if it's not already an option.

They didn't mention GOG in the last update that's why I was wondering. But I'll ask for one that's for sure.

Good luck. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Most devs seem at least open to reason, but the only game I kickstarted that has wound up here (first of 2 pledges total before I gave that up) had a dev who wasn't open to reason at all. :)

I hope you told them you regretted backing their game and wouldn't back any future games they are lead-developer on.
