Rage against the machines

Hard Reset: Redux, a heavily upgraded edition of the cult-classic cyberpunk FPS, is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% per-order discount or 85% for owners of Shadow Warrior (2013)!

Humanity is under siege. Bezoar, the last bastion of mankind, is being attacked by bloodthirsty machines seeking to download its extensive data-bank, where billions of digitized human minds are stored. It's time for a last stand. It's time for hard decisions. It's time for a Hard Reset.

The relentless gunplay, the wanton destruction, and the hardcore sensibilities that gained the original its cult fame, are back with a vengeance. Hard Reset: Redux brings a barrage of improvements, including better visuals, a new enemy type, a sweet dash move, a mean-looking cyber-katana, optimized performance, and an all-around more balanced experience. Definitely a far more enjoyable one than what our mechanical overlords would want us to have, should they were allowed to succeed...

Pre-order Hard Reset: Redux, the definitive edition of this intense techno-thriller, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% discount. Owners of Shadow Warrior (2013), who want to smash some mean machines, can instead take advantage of the whopping, permanent 85% loyalist discount!
The 10% discount will last until June 10, 2:29 PM UTC.
The game launches on June 3.

Sold! Can't pass this up with the 85% discount.
I didn't like the original version at all, but I did enjoy Shadow Warrior 2013. For $3, it's worth a shot.

Geralt_of_Rivia: ... as far as I remember it was Steam only.
I played the original version DRM-free a few years ago.
It was part of an Indie Royale bundle, so it should have been DRM-free on Desura too.

Sarasa: Hum… I need to think about this offer…

let’s see, buy it here at 17.99€ (19.99-10%) for the DRM free version, I don’t own SW2013
or steam at 3€ (19.99-85%) for the DRM version, I own Hard Reset Extended Edition

Oh well, I have 4 more days to think about it :/
There is an even better option: Since the loyalty discount for Shadow Warrior 2013 owners on GOG is permanent you just need to wait until Shadow Warrior goes on sale again. After all the game has been discounted several times by -90%. My guess is that the summer sale will start somewhere in the next 2-3 weeks. Then you can most likely pick up both games DRM-free on GOG for very little money.
85% discount---nice one! Back in the day when I played the demo I thought "well, will pick it up once it reaches GOG" and here it is...

I've got the same problem. I'm not happy about both options.
Really nice discount. But there is no Linux version and I don't do pre-orders. Wishlisting it.
Flying Wild Hog has my respect, they did a good job with SW 2013.

Enebias: Imo, The original was very good but had a lot of space for improvement; Shadow Warrior learned a lor from that, becoming my favourite Shooter of the generation by far. Now, with an 85% I simply can't miss the enhanced version. There is just one problem: the game is very brief. Well worth 3€, mind me, but still brief.
But how do you know that this not yet released redux version will be the same length?

I'm not sure, if this discount applies to future "Shadow Warrior 2013" buyers. I think it will be only for all of us, who already own the game.
But I don't really know.

Yes, you are right. But in a year or so, there will be a 90% discount for this game, you'll see in typical PROMOs. Until then, play the games in your library ;)
I haven't read many good reviews about this game.. but damn, that 85% discount is incredible! :O

Have you read any bad reviews?
Ka-ching. .. . Instabought!

A pleasant surprise - and a nice discount too ;)
Enjoyed the original a lot, actually more than Shadow Warrior (but less than Painkiller). With that discount it's an instabuy.

Funny timing, btw, I've been playing Duke Nukem Forever again recently and just yesterday I thought how Hard Reset is a much better but sadly largely overlooked modern retro shooter and how sad it is that the game never had a console release. And bam, here it is along with a remastered PC release. Good stuff.

Zoidberg: A big fat "meh" from me. The original was boring quite quickly.

I don't think I'd be interested even if I owned Shadow Warrior here (I do but got it from the devs site).

DrearierSpider: Ya the original was pretty meh for me but at $3 and the promise of rebalancing I'll at least take a look at this one once reviews start to come out.
As the loyalty discount will last for the life of the product (which is commendable from the devs to be honest), sure, why not.
