Rage against the machines

Hard Reset: Redux, a heavily upgraded edition of the cult-classic cyberpunk FPS, is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% per-order discount or 85% for owners of Shadow Warrior (2013)!

Humanity is under siege. Bezoar, the last bastion of mankind, is being attacked by bloodthirsty machines seeking to download its extensive data-bank, where billions of digitized human minds are stored. It's time for a last stand. It's time for hard decisions. It's time for a Hard Reset.

The relentless gunplay, the wanton destruction, and the hardcore sensibilities that gained the original its cult fame, are back with a vengeance. Hard Reset: Redux brings a barrage of improvements, including better visuals, a new enemy type, a sweet dash move, a mean-looking cyber-katana, optimized performance, and an all-around more balanced experience. Definitely a far more enjoyable one than what our mechanical overlords would want us to have, should they were allowed to succeed...

Pre-order Hard Reset: Redux, the definitive edition of this intense techno-thriller, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% discount. Owners of Shadow Warrior (2013), who want to smash some mean machines, can instead take advantage of the whopping, permanent 85% loyalist discount!
The 10% discount will last until June 10, 2:29 PM UTC.
The game launches on June 3.

Eh, for $3 I'll take it. Pretty pictures. :)
I had not noticed the 85% discount for Shadow Warrior 2013 owner.
It's my first pre-order ever.
Is the 85% discount only available for pre-order?

EDIT:
Nevermind, I just saw "permanent discount" at the bottom of the announcement.

Already bought it on Steam, because I own Hard Reset there, though I own Shadow Warrior here... would have picked it up here instead. Too bad it couldn't announce on both platforms simultaneously.

You can always ask for a refund there.

jepsen1977: Damn, just bought it on Steam - you are too slow, GoG - gotta play at 60fps you know. :-)
You can always ask for a refund and buy here instead, if you want.

Sogi-Ya: Fuck and yes!

Been waiting for this one to hit GOG ever since it was announced: yes I know the game play get repetitive and there aren't that many enemy types ... I still want it.
There's nothing wrong with repetitive and more of the same, i have 400-500 casualgames 99% is all 'more of the same' and repetitive .
Its 3d , FPP, and has many effects (photosensitivy( thats why i dont buy these games.

I noticed more soon to come games, i check the tab once a day:

no man's sky (3d)
shadow warrior 2 (3d)

servo 19.99 3d game

(price at steam)
offworld trading company 3d game 39,99€
offworld trading company deluxe edition 3d game 59,99€

Divinity: Original Sin 2 3d game
Blitz Krieg 3 : 3d (minimal requirements are pretty high)
Minecraft Story Mode - Adventure Pass : 3d
Crawl (not my type of game)

The games are mostly 3d/fpp, so i skip on those and wait for the list to be refreshed completely and hope there will be 12 good old or new games, if possible 2d only, but 3d/fpp seems to be 99% of available and most released games nowadays.

MarkoH01: But how do you know that this not yet released redux version will be the same length?
My comment was about theo original version, but since nobody talked about added levels, I think I can assume they will be the same. Even with the Exile DLC, the game was not very long.

Given how much time I have (or the lack of it to be precisely) I prefer games that are a bit shorter - so no problem for me as long if it is not just 30 minutes or so.
Does anyone know if the listed system requirements listed for the Redux version are accurate? If the engine is completely different, how are the requirements so similar to each other?

Old Engine
Operating system (OS): XP
Processor (CPU): Intel Pentium IV 2.5 GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
System memory (RAM): 2 GB
Hard disk drive (HDD): 4.6 GB
Video card (GPU): Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS, ATI Radeon HD 3870, 512 MB of VRAM, DirectX 9.0c compatible

New Engine:
Minimum system requirements - Windows: XP or Later
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Pentium 4 / AMD Athlon 64
Memory: 2 GB
Graphics: 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS / ATI Radeon HD 3870 or better
DirectX Version: 9.0c
Disk Space: 5 GB

IronArcturus: If the engine is completely different
It's not. It's the same engine (Road Hog Engine) with some enhanced visual effects.

Oh I didn't know that! Well I'm glad it can still run on older computers. Do you know if the Road Hog Engine supports DirectX or OpenGL?
