If the music in this trailer properly illustrates ancient Rome or epic historical drama in the minds of the people at THQ Nordic and Logic Artists, then I would love them to do trailers for a lot of other things, even if they had no involvement with their creation.
Please guys, could you make a new trailer for Schindler's List in this style?

That music in the trailer is terrible.

I understand the upset from people who want a more historical game actually based on history instead of modern wished societal elements. I don't have much of a problem per say as long as the characters are well done and not just put in there as tokens for propaganda points or what ever terms you want to use. The makers of this series have always been ones for that.

However I have had fun in the previous two games and I love the female witch character in Vikings. I also hope they stick to realism over fantasy instead of how desperados went with a women with voodoo magic powers, instead of sticking with realistic skills.
ITT: People don't understand what "fictional video game" means.

Also, why are we getting triggered at this game, when Gladius (2004) is a similar game that has female spellcasters, beasts and such and nobody cares about that? Superficial complaints from the ignorant, it seems.

As for me, I'm pre-ordering and can't wait to play!

dgnfly: The game can already be called. "Expeditions: Woke" There were no female conscripts, so better not market this game as accurate!!! And more in the fantasy section.

I love history, but all these distortions of history for the sake of pandering points means no buy from me. This is the Total war series all over again.

Niggles: Can we stop with this bullshit?. Its not calling itself a Roman Legionnaire simulator nor is it advertising itself as a historical accurate game. Its a fucking game mate. Live with it!!!

Personally going to get the game myself. Love the series so far!!
Cry me a river, little Girl. If you don't like another's opinion, you might as well stay offline, because you might get triggered by a person with a different opinion.

I don't care if you get it and enjoy it, but I won't and if that triggers you, too bad.

Sorry mate, but the only triggered guy here is you.

As for the game, it looks more than decent, they definitely learned their craft from the previous titles.
Wishlisted for now.

Not to prolong the argument or even take a side but basic economics means customers (key word there) vote with their wallets on what they like and don't like. All people are welcome to state what they want from the game. Why shouldn't they there's no dictator of gog here. (except the mods.)

As for me as stated I don't mind per say as long as such characters are well done and not just inserted cardboard cut outs for the sake of having them in there to appease modern Americans.

There are plenty of voices out there, many companies have error-ed these days by listening to people who have no intention to of buying their products and just want to inject things into them to suit there modern feelings while disregarding the wishes of people who actually buy there products for example the modern Star Wars movies.

No, the problem is that you people don't like what I have to say because it doesn't praise a game that makes a mockery of history.

What I notice about most people these days is that they can't cope with the idea that some people don't like the concept of thinking critical about things and just act like zombie pawn who demand that anybody who complains buy the same crap or just moves along. But those rules of moving along could apply to the people now replying.

This newer generation lacks the concept of critical think and demand you just buy the crap they like or shut up.

They mostly afraid you'll convince people into not buying the game on the arguments you make. If you look at a YouTube channel, "History Debunked" The man dissects historical matter through the books that have been written over the years. He made some statement that triggered left wing people about historical truth, and now they want to cancel him and started a petition to get his YouTube channel taken offline because they couldn't cope with his opinion.

He even revealed that certain books from the past that got re-released are censored because of political correctness.

I noticed how quickly my post was downvoted. We do live in an age of Ideologies and you can't argue and reason with fanatics.

It's sad because the appeal of Conquistador was the unordinary setting. Which they then abandoned and went for two of the most overdone historical settings; Vikings and Romans.

Even the first game had sexy female Conquistadors, so I don't think the devs care about realism (which isn't a bad thing neccessarily).

Now THAT looks like the sort of game I'd like to see on GOG. Definitely going to grab it at some point!

You just gotta accept that people here can't cope with critical thinking. Let alone a decent debate.

Anything that is critical or isn't an opinion that is Ren and Stimpy style "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!"
is down voted.

Ask GameRanker, he got down voted while making pretty political correct argument and barely any harsh language or politically incorrect thinking, and he got down voted into oblivion. The suspicions were it's just a couple of losers that have multiple accounts.

Maybe so (I honestly think there is abuse when it comes to downvoting), but this is about a game. One shouldn't expect that level of realism from games. I understand, to a certain degree, where you're coming from (or at least I think so), but at the same time reading you love history made me think of various things. Not gonna mention them here, we can do that over PM (if you're willing, of course). Do we live in a different society than, say, a decade ago? Definitely. Are there certain agendas being encouraged? Most likely.
For me it's easy: I don't agree with the devs point of view, I don't back them up.
Something else and please don't take this as a personal attack: name-calling won't enforce your point of view. If anything, people will ignore it.

On topic now: I played a bit of Conquistador, I had some fun with it, but I was never gripped. Maybe it's not my type of game, still I wish the best to the team behind Rome. Also, it's nice to see there is still support for older systems.
