Good choice, waiting on what is going on with the release date of this game.
Around Christmas I asked for a refund and to use it on Cyberpunk 2077. I think that that was the best decision ever since I trust CDPR a lot more. For all we know it could be in limbo forever, and we already got Decent 4.

The only thing I could find was that a full refund could be obtained for games in development within 14 days of purchase. I purchased this the first week it came out on GOG. So can I still get a refund, since it was never "released" (and probably never will be)?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to pull out Descent (2019) from our store.
Is "unforeseen" really the right word here?

The rights were pulled, game is belly up. GOG can't force a game out of thin air.

Interplay canceled the trademark licensing deal that would allow the game to be called Descent. In addition, there is also a lawsuit between the developer and publisher of the game regarding missing payments/milestones. You can read more about that below:

Cause and effect; unforeseen circumstances caused an unforeseen consequence.

Yeah but I didnt know that at the time hence the question - all I knew was unforseen. Why would I think a game can come out of thin air ?

And literally a 5 second Google search would have told you that.
As far as I'm concerned, good riddance.
