Descent (2019) is now available for pre-order DRM-free. Grab it until November 20th, 6PM UTC and get Descent 3 for FREE. Owners of Descent: Underground will also receive Descent 2019 (+ Descent 3) in their library.
If you already own Descent 3, please contact Support to get a code for a friend.

When thrilling dogfights and six degrees of freedom fell for each other, Descent began! Now it returns with gusto: pick a class, jump inside one of 20 customizable ships and fly down to the ruthless underground where a battle over resources rages in single-player and multiplayer mode.

hummer010: The release date when this preorder was first started was December of 2019, so while it's been a ridiculously long time, they haven't actually missed the deadline yet.

It took me awhile to realize that DNF was Duke Nukem Forever. I kept reading it as Did Not Finish, which kind of applied here, but didn't make sense :)
It was a fitting acronym for Duke Forever until it actually released.

Just too bad there never will be a Descent 2019. With the webpage gone, and no reply on twitter what so ever, this game is dead, people who pre-ordered it should just get their money back, and the Pre-order/Pre-purchase should be removed.

Will steam owners of descent underground recieve the same offer of descent 2019 for free or will we have to prove that we own it on steam to get it here?

No, no we were not. In fact if we even dared to point out on the steam forums (where i own descent underground) that the devs BLAMED ITS FAILURE ON THE PLAYERBASE ON STREAM, you were banned from them permanantly. I honestly want this project to succeed dont get me wrong but with the way these cowns have acted towards descent fans i cant say that i want to support them, all that much. I hope i get the game for free on steam or here

Desacent 2019 hasnt shown hide nor hair of itself on steam. So i must assume theyre only doing a gog release

Why am I getting Carmageddon: Reincarnation flashbacks when reading the OP?

Has any work or major improvements happened on Descent: Underground since it was originally removed from the GOG catalog...or is this just a rename and pump-n-dump scheme ala Carmageddon: Max Damage?
