Cyberway: ...if this flops...
With the hype train going quite a long while now, I'd be very surprised if it did.

Watched one of the new trailers yesterday on YT...there's almost no gameplay to see or lore mentioned, yet people are going apeshit. :P
I'm pretty sure once the game drops a lot of people are going to be disappointed. Not that Cyberpunk will be a bad game, but it definitely won't be able to live up to the hype.

Well, at least my PC will be able to run the game at 'high' settings, maybe even 'ultra'. :P

20 mill is still very ambitious goal.

CMiq: More modest than expected.
They must have done a hell of a job with optimization.

Swedrami: Looks like one of the 20 series cards will be more than enough for Ultra settings(?).
With a recommended 1060 6GB it should.

They do a pretty good job conveying the sheer size of the city and surroundings and how packed with content everything is, maybe that's just enough for a lot of people to lose their shit over. Or they're just VERY easy to impress and get excited about things.
I'm more concerned how one shall be able to do everything there is to do, explore every nook and cranny and really immerse oneself without investing and dedicating a significant amount of time to it.
I'm sure you'll be able to breeze through in a day or two, just focussing on the main story path but completionists will have to do some serious balancing and prioritizing, if they're playing other extensive and demanding RPGs on the side as well. I'm still neck-deep in Kingdoms of Amalur and Wasteland 3 at the moment, and there's no way I'll be able to finish both until November, at least not without cutting it short, which I definitely don't want to do either.
First world problems.

But not that hard to achieve, especially now that the very moderate PC specs have been confirmed.
Joe and Jane Average won't have to shell out for a 30 or 20 series card and can put the money towards purchasing Cyberpunk2077 instead. Not that hard to imagine that pre-orders are getting another boost too, as we speak.

Depends on which 20 series card. a 2060 may struggle with "Ultra" settings, at least at any kind of decent framerate at 4K. But it will definitely be playable and be beautiful.
Couldn't care less about 4K, as far as I'm concerned everything above 2K doesn't really make that much of a difference anyway, especially on a 27" or 31,5" monitor. 2K or even just FullHD (downscaled from 2560x1440) is crisp enough in this regard.

If you stay on a resolution <4K you might be good and get decent framerates (maybe not 60+ consistently but around 45 in any case) with any of the 20 series cards and almost everything cranked to the highest settings.
Which, of course still remains to be seen what exactly those entail and look like. Not that tweaking the shit out of the config files won't become a sport again, anyway.

Indeed.
But I certainly know what you mean, myself currently ploughing through Vaporum: Lockdown, Kingdoms of Amalur and Control and taking my sweet (and necessary) time with each one of them.
Time (as well as GoG's release schedule) is a cruel mistress.
Violence porn with lots of eye candy. Haven't seen that before! lol

The release has been postponed for another 21 days, to the 10th of December.
Will cancel my pre-order, this is getting ridiculous. :P

Soooo.... next summer then? ;)
Nah, this is the last delay, I think.
Third time is the charm. Plus, they already have gone gold, so those extra 3 weeks is likely just for cramming as much fixes and improvements into the day 1 patch as possible.
