Get ready to embark on a journey full of danger in a game inspired by Greek and Roman mythologies.
Genre: Action, RPG
Planned release date: 11th October 2022
Already spent the rest of my September budget on Steelrising, so I'll have to wait until the next paycheck in less than 3 weeks.
Great to see another indie developer taking a chance on releasing their premium AA DRM-free and day one on GOG.

Now that you mention it, doesnt Steelrising and this game feel like similar games in terms of the action ? (and french revolution theme vs grecian theme?.

Since when can we only upvote comment, not downvote?
That seems like a quite recent new "Update."

While I disagree with this decision (reputation helped me see long standing and active users vs. new ones) I hope GOG has an alternative/complete forum overhaul for us in store and this is hopefully just a first step.

So?

Why did you just quote the OP without including any text of your own?

Because you have just replied to a bot. There have been quite an influx of them over the past few weeks, sadly...
It looks interesting! I also like the fact they put her with red hair ;- ) red heads seem to be dissappearing lately lol... I will keep an eye on this but wait for a discount to buy it.

That said though I know they are going for a style so this is just my personal opinion but I'd much prefer if she looked a bit more realistic.. like have her a red sonya sort of appearance, that looks like she can actually swing the weapons she's holding, that would be cool lol.

Thanks to them using the Unreal Engine it should be possible to add a Red Sonja character model, or to alter the appearance of the default character to look like her.

SargonAelther: https://youtu.be/0AQzgX7Gg78 Here's gameplay with UI for you.
And - off the wishlist it goes. [sadface emoji].

I like much of what I see, but the way the "Conduits" work is nothing but a time waster, and a nuisance to artificially stretch the gameplay time:

(quote)
"Making contact with a Conduit will record it as a location for Hilda's emergency teleportation.
Using the rest feature will restore your HP, but will also cause enemies that were previously defeated to reappear."
(end of quote)

No thanks.
I don't want to fight the same battles over and over again - only to then die anew maybe 50 meters further in-game - rinse and repeat.
Makes even less sense, since Hilda clearly keeps her weapons (she doesn't has to redo her steps to retrieve them a second time).

I have a life beside video games.
And pre-set save points don't really go well along with that.

Swedrami: Both the store pages' descriptions for the Deluxe and Ultimate Edition contain a naughty word that I think is explicitly verboten to use in the context of advertising a competing platform.
Might want to get rid of that, and again, to avoid that in the future, vet and proof-read the descriptions BEFORE they go live.
Still persists, by the way

Since we have the spambot report thread, it'd be nice to have a place where we can post any simple stuff for the blues to fix on the site like this, typos, missing details on the product pages, missing sub-forums, uncompleted wishlist entries, and the like without having to go through the chat bot gatekeeper on the Support page.

Sounds like a standard bonfire system used in soulslikes. That's a selling point for me: It offers some assurance that the devs aren't mentioning the genre flippantly. Gameplay also looks promising.

If I don't see any red flags while I get a better feel for the game over the next couple days, I'm likely to preorder. Thanks for releasing here, Acme/tinyBuild!

The combat sits poorly with me. Looks like there's no weight/impact to it. Hit enemies and they never stagger or flinch. I'm ok with hyper armor during attacks and such, but never knowing if you're damaging the enemy unless you look at their health bar is a big turn off for me. I love "souls-like" games, but combat with no impact is a big red flag to me.

I haven't watched extended gameplay yet, but I'd guess it's possible the player simply wasn't breaking the enemies' poise. Unless you're seeing a lack of stagger across different attacks/enemies in longer videos, which might indicate the mechanic is absent.
