The chronicle of the Third Era is about to be revealed!

Age of Wonders 3, the long-anticipated continuation to the fan-favorite, award-winning strategy series, set in a robust and beautiful world that becomes the scene for diverse, complex, and engaging gameplay, is available for pre-orders on GOG.com. Depending on your location you'll be charged $39.99 or the USD equivalent of £29.99, or €39.99. An extended Age of Wonders 3 - Deluxe Edition, featuring a full soundtrack and the Dragon's Throne standalone scenario, is available for $44.99, £34.99, or €44.99. As a special pre-order bonus, both versions include the Elven Resurgence, a standalone scenario DLC.

Imagine! Empires rising and falling before your very eyes, led to victory or defeat by heroes of legend so powerful that they appear to be titans in the eyes of mortals. Sorcerers harness the arcane powers to bend the rules of the world around them. Theocrats twist the wills of their followers with the holy aura bestowed upon them by their deities for their zealous service. Rogues rule the shadows, taking any chance to strike and win before their foes even realize there is a war to fight. Warlords earn the loyalty of their legions by the glory gained in the many battles they emerged from, victorious. Archdruids become one with nature, and the land itself rushes to their aid. Dreadnoughts rely on the art of engineering to construct their unstoppable artificial armies. All those powers, all of their miraculous exploits, all of their desires, all thrown into one realm of war. This shall truly be an age of wonders!

With Age of Wonders 3, Triumph Studios aims to set new standards not only for the acclaimed Age of Wonders series, but also for the turn-based strategy genre itself. Taking advantage of all the modern gaming bells and whistles, the title will deliver an impressive level of complexity in gameplay and an immersive, lush, and diverse gameworld that can become your own for hundreds of hours. With the ability to choose one of the six leader classes, you'll be able to custom-tailor your empire--and by extension your experience with the game--to your personal gameplay style, so you can enjoy the extensive campaign the game offers in any way you like. You'll be leading into battle armies recruited from within six humanoid races as well as some fantastic creatures and mythical monsters. The turn-based tactical combat itself will prove to be a challenge for the most seasoned of strategy gamers but also scalable enough for beginners to enjoy. With over 50 location types to explore and exploit, hundreds of abilities to master for tactical and strategic advantage over your foes, visually stunning presentation, and a smart random scenario generator providing virtually limitless replayability, this upcoming title may prove the only turn-based strategy game you'll need for many years to come!

Pre-order Age of Wonders 3, for only $39.99 or the USD equivalent of £29.99, or €39.99 on GOG.com (or opt in for the splendid Age of Wonders 3 - Deluxe Edition), and secure your entry to the fantastic realm of power and dominion, which opens to all the brave souls approximately on March 31. Note that Age of Wonders 3 is the first title with regional pricing on GOG.com in quite some time and this means that we are charging the USD equivalents of the official regional price.

Note, that just as we have done before in such occasions, we'll be throwing in a little something extra to the deal, to accommodate those of you, who end up paying more than the others due to the currency conversion rates applied. We've picked some games that fit well with the genre represented by Age of Wonders III, and if you're one of those people, you'll get to pick one of them. You'll be sent a gift-code allowing you to redeem one of the following excellent titles: Master of Magic, Lords of Magic: Special Edition, Eador: Genesis, King’s Bounty: The Legend, Disciples II: Gold, and Etherlords II.

AngryAlien: all the games offered as "compensation" are, in my opinion, just crap. I really don´t know why I should want even one of them.
avatar
Potzato: I beg to differ, these are solid titles (if we are talking about MoM, King's bounty, Eador ....)
Like I said before, I am sure a lot of people will like these games. The problem is that I just don´t. Maybe I would see this a bit differently if GOG would have offered a tad more variety, something like a FPS or the like.

See, I hate fruit cake. They come with all kinds of fruit, apple, lemon, peaches... and I simply don´t like them. Just a matter of personal taste. The only fruit cake I do like is a piece of cherry cake every now and then, can´t say why. And now the friendly baker tells me I have to pay 25% more for my cherry cake than all the other customers, but I could have a nice piece of lemon cake as compensation. Now what should I do? Paying the higher price and get the lemon cake that I will just throw away, because I can´t stand it or munch it anyway, even if I might feel sick afterwards (because it is a solid piece of cake!) and stop feeling ripped off OR leave the bakery and get my cherry cake elsewhere?

That and also, what about people that already have them ?? I'm pretty sure a lot of people might already have the games or just wanted to buy 1 game.
Adding a store credit would be much, much better.
Fuck this is expensive

How much are you getting it for in Aussie land?
Since learning of this news i been watching AOW3 gameplay footage. i'm getting excited about this. A Civ like empire building game with AOW combat is my ideal game, but until someone other than stardork makes it, AOW3 will do nicely :)

The problem is that you are confusing the merchant for the baker.

GOG didn't make the game or set the price, they just sell it for whatever the publisher tells them to.

GOG sets the rules for what it will sell, and the publishers have to agree to it if they want to sell their products on GOG.

However, if no one is agreeing to GOG's terms, then GOG has to reconsider the terms that it is demanding; the options for legacy titles to sign on to GOG are drying up and GOG needed to start getting more new titles if they wanted to stay on the market.

GOG didn't make the cake, but the only way that the baker would let them sell the cake was if they agreed to the terms that the baker set.
Thank you GOG for bringing us a AAA DRM-free modern game. Will pick this up instead of Warlock 2. I understand you are a business and not all factors can be in your control. So long as you stay DRM-free, you will have a loyal customer from me.

I can't find it at the moment, but there's a thread that's been started that's tracking the prices of AoW III and the AoW III Digital Deluxe Edition across various countries.

EDIT: Here it is. It seems to be the same price (assuming it's USD) as it is in North America (?) - http://www.gog.com/forum/age_of_wonders_series/post_your_regional_price_for_aow3/page1

Dead serious. On the AOW3 page Standard it listed as 39.99 (as it should be...well yeah uno what i mean) but on right where 6 other games listed, the deluxe was showing 61.99 for some reason..click on it and page loads up to 44.99 as it should....

That's USD though right, so it's actually like 44$ for standard and 50$ for deluxe, in AUD

ne_zavarj: Steam prices . ( standard edition )
Thank you for putting that image up, I was curious after seeing the complaints at the price what the non-US prices were on Steam.

I don't really understand the outrage. If you are not interested in the game or If you think the price is too high, don't pre-order. I won't be. But at least it gives people who want the game the option of having it DRM-free for no more than you would pay elsewhere. That seems a better alternative than DRM-only. But thats me I guess, thats the main reason I buy games from here: DRM-free.

JudasIscariot: Lovely :/

Could one of you send a support ticket with screenshot of that, please? Thanks and sorry if I can't be of anymore help :/
Hello Judas.

I'm having the same problem with the YouTube video in the forefront, in front of the screenshots. Just thought I'd let you know! And yes I use Fire Fox.
