Maybe it'll be like: Elite: Dangerous, except without the enforced on-line play so we can play it as a singleplayer game?

Starmaker: I've got a question. Why is it labeled "Absolver (Game)" in the library? Is there something GOG's not telling us?
Same thing with Sundered. I have pre-ordered from GOG in the past and never came by anything like this, maybe it's some sort of new label/tag to more easily identify pre-ordered games when browsing through one's library?
Attachments:
A pre-order with regional discriminating price.

10% pre-order Bonus: -$3.39
Regional Discriminating Extra Price: +$3.45

Will wait until 60-80% off before even considering a purchase.
Wait, I thought Absolver is an online-only game?!?!?!
Were my impressions from E3 the last 2 years wrong?

Can this game's campaign actually be played offline in full?

This looks great! It reminds me somewhat of Bushido Blade 2, which was a blast playing with friends. Will it have local co-op and versus mode? Support for two or more controllers?

Also: Hooray for more fighting games on GOG! :)

ReynardFox: How arrogant can a developer be to push pre-order exclusive content for a game with no legacy?

"Sloclap is an independent studio located in Paris and founded in 2015 by veteran designers, programmers, and artists that met while working together at Ubisoft on Watch_Dogs and the Ghost Recon series."

...oh.
It seems that Preorder exclusives are the new rage. For me it means that game can be skipped in 90% of the cases.
chuffed to see it here, but its the usual question

Any LAN options?

mechmouse: Any LAN options?
Doesn't seem to have LAN: http://www.co-optimus.com/game/4205/pc/absolver.html

some mentions of LAN over on the Discord channel though: https://discordapp.com/invite/cEPcz

I've done some searching and from what I can tell from interviews and player experiences the multiplayer set-up is similar to that of Dark Souls. Singleplayer and multiplayer take place in the same 'world' so you can go through the game offline if you want, but when you're online you can encounter other players and doing so is encouraged.

Can Absolver be played offline? Can players choose to explore the world alone if they want?

Absolver can be played offline, for the players who are mostly interested in discovering the game world and learning about the story. However, the core experience is really based on multiplayer, whether it's the combat or the social components, so we recommend playing online!

Mouse and keyboard controls are also supported and there'll be customizable keybindings.

So effectively the same The Witcher Adventure Game or Goblins Inc.. I.e. there is an "offline" part, however it is a vastly stripped down, mostly non-existing shell only there to show you how much your missing by not signing up to their skynet future.

Chalk another success up for DRM Free! Same bin as Armello to my mind.

That does not appear to be the case, from what I've seen so far, but it won't be until release that we can say for sure. Offline appears to be same as online except without other players and all which that entails; like Dark Souls. The question for me is if the PVE will be good enough for the game to also be fun without other players.

That's good to hear! I was wondering a bit after reading the game description, where the narrative experience seems to be ordained under the online category, but it looks like Single-player is getting the full package (minus the interacting with other players bit), and that's neat.

Also, customizable keybindings is very appreciated, especially for games of the action genre.
Wow, Absolver on GOG. Now THAT is a surprise. A good one, thanks!

Must be a GOG quirk then.

Why haven't you played Sunless Sea, though? A reckoning is not to be postponed indefinitely.
