Be the very first to play!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available to preload on GOG.com. If you have pre-ordered the anticipated, next-generation RPG, you can choose to pre-load the game and be one of the very first to play once it goes live on May 19th.

The simplest way to preload the game is through the just-released GOG Galaxy Beta. GOG Galaxy is fully integrated into the DRM-free release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and includes convenient auto-updates, game time tracking and achievements. Of course, you can also preload manually by downloading the available files off your shelf on the website.

The preload includes subtitles in every language and full English voiceovers. Once the game is live, you'll have the option to download an additional ~3GB language pack with voiceovers in your preferred language.

The complete original soundtrack is also available for download today alongside the preload, just in time to set the proper mood for the ruthless, dark-fantasy epic. If you preordered the game, you'll find the soundtrack in the bonus goodies section of your shelf. Don't forget, that this is one of the last opportunities to take advantage of the pre-order discounts - that includes the -20% loyalty deal for owners of the previous two The Witcher games on GOG.com!

While you wait, check out one of the sexiest previews of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, brought to you by the hilarity-infused Conan O'Brien:

Hi I think from what I am reading that the extra languages will become available on the 19th of
May to down load. Not before. Hope that helps.
Why are all the reviews coming out for PS4? i thought you guys were PC first developers? was this a publisher decision? I really hope Wtcher 3 runs well on the hardware you guys listed as recommended since i just make the cut.

Smannesman: And apparently if you use Galaxy, you can keep enjoying the preloading experience.

Flapdrol: No kidding, 0.1 MB/s max, going to take days at this pace.
Try disabling your antivirus, if you're using one. I use avast! and it seemed to occasionally interfere with Galaxy downloads for some reason, often causing the download to just stall completely and give me this error. Disabling avast! shoots the download speed back up to normal.

If that helps, let us know?
Defintiely seems like Galaxy is using separate servers. Makes sense while it's still in Beta, I guess. Could check if I wasn't too lazy at the moment, sorry; I'm sure someone else will :)

I strongly disagree with people's complaints about the new library on the website though. I have 600+ games there, and the old page was practically unusable. It took about half a minute to load, during which Firefox froze, and then it was still slow as heck. Now it's got pagination and filtering, two essential features to make the thing usable.
Edit: And we finally have changelogs, for goodness' sake!

Now the preload failed here over some connection issues and I am getting a "game not supported" message :(

I also use Avast! I disabled it for one hour and it didn't work. GoG Galaxy still downloads TW3 at 0.2 MB/s max.

But thank you for your help!

Disabled mine ( Kaspersky) and downloading got up to 3 mb/s from 0,2mb/sec. Thanks!
Hi guys, a quick question, if I may: I've preloaded the game using Galaxy and it immediately installed itself ready to go (except for the missing files that will be available on release). So if I want to backup my install files now, I have to redownload the entire game again through the GOG website? Seems a bit counterintuitive.
Took about 4.5 hours to download the files using Galaxy. Impressive. Most impressive.

Congrats GOG - as painless an experience as possible.
Hmmm..... Having some problems? Or is it just me.... I'm getting "Server Problem" and "Game not supported" what to do? :D
I have a question about the soundtrack. I simply don't have it on my shelf, I only have some exclusive tracks, I could use some help, please. Congrats to CDP for the 92 metascore, Thanks for the great game.
DL in progress with classic downloader.
Hope it worths it. it was given with the gfx card.
GOG does pre-loading now?

Steam what?

This was the only thing I found to be a feature of the DRM clients, not needing to wait after release for your game to download, and now it's on GOG as well.

Four publishers left to go and Steam is an artifact of the past, like that horrible Sony Connect when everyone started dropping DRM on music.
I can confirm using the Good Old GoG Downloader works flawlessly at +10MB/sec here. Full installation + file integrity check included. When launching it tells you to download one last file on May 19th ( therefore the "preload" ).

Funny detail : unlike all other gog games shortcuts on my desktop, this one does NOT have a circular icon. Pecurious!
