Be the very first to play!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available to preload on GOG.com. If you have pre-ordered the anticipated, next-generation RPG, you can choose to pre-load the game and be one of the very first to play once it goes live on May 19th.

The simplest way to preload the game is through the just-released GOG Galaxy Beta. GOG Galaxy is fully integrated into the DRM-free release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and includes convenient auto-updates, game time tracking and achievements. Of course, you can also preload manually by downloading the available files off your shelf on the website.

The preload includes subtitles in every language and full English voiceovers. Once the game is live, you'll have the option to download an additional ~3GB language pack with voiceovers in your preferred language.

The complete original soundtrack is also available for download today alongside the preload, just in time to set the proper mood for the ruthless, dark-fantasy epic. If you preordered the game, you'll find the soundtrack in the bonus goodies section of your shelf. Don't forget, that this is one of the last opportunities to take advantage of the pre-order discounts - that includes the -20% loyalty deal for owners of the previous two The Witcher games on GOG.com!

While you wait, check out one of the sexiest previews of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, brought to you by the hilarity-infused Conan O'Brien:

I am so excited and at same time ashamed of Devs. And I thought PC is/was a priority for CD Projekt, but if leaks and rumours are to be believed, It was downgraded due to "high-end" consoles.
P.S. Nah I'm not crying or saying to cancel your pre-orders, nor I will do it myself, but if it's a true, then I just feel betrayed, as I thought CD projekt were different than others.
Btw Embargo doesn't help too :(
I don't know about game itself, for obvious reasons, but soundtrack is just outstanding. If not for GalCiv3, I'd say that alone makes Witcher 3 candidate on GOTY of the month title.
Does the PC version have the option to create a world state as well as import a TW2 saved game?

Well, the promised imports and ability to correct story through Dandelion (why not use DAI approach and let us select everything beforehand?), so maybe yes.

timppu: Now I remember why I usually opt to disable automatic updates on Windows.

Last evening I started downloading TW3 preload, as well as Darksiders 1-2+DLC, Metro:LL and Saints Row 2-3 with the GOG Downloader (because Galaxy wouldn't start downloading the TW3 installer for some reason).

In the morning, instead of seeing completed downloads, I was greeted by the Windows login screen. That fjucking Windows update had obviously downloaded updates, and rebooted the system, aborting the downloads (after logging in, I got a notification that Windows has installed updates). It seems it was aborted already during the TW3 download, so time to restart the downloads for all of them again...

Which reminds me how Linux is so much nicer, as it never seems to reboot the system due to mere system updates.
There is a registry key in Windows that you can change to disable Windows Update from automatically rebooting. I had similar things happen to me and lost data as a result and was super pissed off. I searched the web and found instructions on disabling it. I still get the annoying reboot popup every 10m to 4hrs depending on how it is postponed but no more auto-rebooting. Don't have a link handy but it's easy enough to search for if anyone is interested in disabling that. Hope this helps!
If nobody mentionned this before (?), the FLAC archive of the soundtrack is invalid (downloading via browser). MP3 is fine.
So it seems the preload is done for me.
So wait, I get Witcher 1, Witcher 2, Witcher 3, plus the preorder horse armor DLC (wink wink) for less than a Pillars of Eternity? What's the catch CDPR & GOG? ;)
Why don't you just announce TW3 for Linux so I could preorder it, LOL ;)

Dicehunter: Just for giggles I tried setting my internal clock to the 20th of this month but didn't work :P

Anyone know how big the release day patch will be ? I'm guessing we'll have to download an updated .exe to unlock the game ?
Yeah nice try, but if you'd checked the .exe first you'd have realised it's way too small to be the actual game application.
Would like to comment on some other thing too : a day one free dlc is nothing impressive, just marketing. They just took some acontent that would have made it into the game anyway and now name it an extra.
Wow I'm almost done pre-loading took me 2 days with my third world internet speed, didn't know could download the soundtrack and goodies too! Thanks.

Been waiting 3 long years for this, I can handle a week more. *keep it together*

Why is it called "exclusive tracks"? Isn't it on sale with the game as well?

Those are tracks that only who preordered the game can listen to, or at least this is what I understand...

I think they didn't change the name yet. There were 3-4 tracks since the preorder. Now the MP3 archive contains 35 tracks. FLAC doesn't work yet. Don't know why. Archive is invalid.
Weird... the .flac archive works fine to me... I downloaded everything with Galaxy, I deleted the mp3 archive soon so I haven't tried it but the .flac unzipped properly and everything's fine: I listened to some tracks with AIMP3.
