We can confirm that offline installers will be available at launch, at 1 AM CET. We'll continue to immediately update them with the latest patches after the game's release.

You may have noticed the pre-load is getting updated - it's the 10GB release patch we've implemented now so you can enjoy a smooth launch. The update is 10GB BUT it actually implements changes to some of the existing files, meaning around 50GB of data has to be changed. That is why GOG GALAXY needs roughly 50-60GB of free space for the patch to successfully update.

Alternatively, you can uninstall the pre-load and install it again - that should also do the trick.

thanks by the way!

wcdeadpool: I remember that with witcher 2 and 3, we could preload some of the files from the offline installers. Hope they do the same for CP77 in the coming hours. I came here in the first place because I don't want to bother with game clients and DRM. Please GOG ;)

Swedrami: Don't get your hopes up.

I just remembered, it was exactly the same situation with Thronebreaker, which was the first CDPR game whose pre-load was Galaxy-only.
There's was quite a bit of outrage about the missing offline installers too, but it didn't help and the offline installers went live only on launch day.
Thanks for the info. Well that's disapointing to say the least. I'll probably only be able to play a few days after launch since I don't want to use Galaxy. And no more GOG downloader doesn't help either :(. I'm kind of sad right now since my main reason to use GOG over Steam is offline installers... But at least they 'll come later...

I buy a code of another website and these cringe dogs here just assume i am trying to 'steal' a preloaded copy of a game that doesn't have DRM to begin with. Really smart individuals.

naantje: XD you dont seem to be very bright if you think 'third party' means illegitimate. Its a GOG code all the same you nimrod. Amazon; third party. Local gameshop; thirdpart. Fking ape. Anyway, don't answer questions you dont know the answer to.
avatar
Bourinos02: Well, you're the one expecing GoG to somehow trust that you have a key (that you don't even have yet according to you) and allow you the preload the game...
That doesn't make much sense now does it?
i, for example, have prove of buying and paying my amazon copy. usually you get stuff like that from sellers like that.

More like #FCKyourownusers. SmollestLight commented on some "confusion"... of course there will be confusion when they deliberately are obtuse in their communication to their users.

But seriously, you're ditching the game and GOG just because you have to wait longer? That was the trigger? I agree we are like second class users in some cases, but still... Due to work and family stuff I personally can't play the game until closer to Christmas, but I don't mind waiting a little anyway.

Had they denied offline installers altogether for this game only to force Galaxy, then yes, I'd be walking out with you, offering to pay for a pint or two (or whiskey, whatever your poison is), and then going back to pirating :D

Is it correct that there is no update patch download on GOG Galaxy after finishing the normal download?

Same here, but would be nice if we could download it now instead of on launch tho :p
Thats cool. Still have to wait though if you chose the collectors edition though right? Also, still don't know if Windows 7dx12 is enabled via a driver update or a particular Microsoft update.
I clicked a bit too fast :D
At least it worked, hopefully the day 1 patch will not be too massive!

On the plus side - (hopefully) the day zero-patch will already be included when the offline installers go live on the 10th.

Its really not so much to do with the game, but the attitude of GOG towards offline installers since Galaxy came out. In fact the announcement of Epic DRM'd games being sold here was really the final straw for me. Been a long few years of offline installers not being updated, broken website, features not being developed, or being developed for Galaxy only, DRM'd games. Its simnply not worth the time end effort to support some half baked possibly DRM free store anymore. May as well buy cheaper off steam and download a crack. Its a shame but that is the way it has been going here for years now. Anyways, I don't really use this forum anymore, just full of bots, so if I don't reply enjoy waiting :o)

"Pre-load all the necessary files to install Cyberpunk 2077 through the GOG GALAXY app. The offline installers will be available when the game is released on 10th December."

But yeah, they're incapable of communicating in a clear and straight forward manner.
