Your journey to Night City is close at hand! As of today, you can pre-load all the necessary files to install Cyberpunk 2077 through your GOG GALAXY app. This way you’ll be able to dive into the most anticipated open-world RPG quickly on 10th December, when the grand premiere of the game takes place.

While we’re at it - take a look at our video below! We’ve created it along with the game’s creators to show you how super grateful we are that you’ve chosen to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM, where 100% of your money goes to CD PROJEKT Group.

We can confirm that offline installers will be available at launch, at 1 AM CET. We'll continue to immediately update them with the latest patches after the game's release.

You may have noticed the pre-load is getting updated - it's the 10GB release patch we've implemented now so you can enjoy a smooth launch. The update is 10GB BUT it actually implements changes to some of the existing files, meaning around 50GB of data has to be changed. That is why GOG GALAXY needs roughly 50-60GB of free space for the patch to successfully update.

Alternatively, you can uninstall the pre-load and install it again - that should also do the trick.

Both on C:\ and on the drive Cyberpunk 2077 is installed on?
Yes, I didn't separate my disc, so everything I have is on C.
Maybe try to free up even more space, so that you have free space around double the size of the Cyberpunk 2077 installation.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything more to remove. Pretty much everything else is occupied with Windows files.

Try again later, then.
As unsatisfying as this may read.

You're not the only one, by the way:

sanscript: I agree, Galaxy in itself isn't DRM - hiding singleplayer elements behind an online activation is.
avatar
StingingVelvet: Define "online activation" here man. Signing into Galaxy to download the game and associated files is not an "activation." You do that same thing even if you use the website. If the Cyberpunk download from Galaxy works without contacting the internet on a new machine... which I very much assume it will... then it has no DRM.

Again, you're conflating client with DRM, they are different things. There are many DRM games on Steam even.
Read the description for what is "MY REWARDS" and what it needs again. No, you see them as similar and therefore they must be a like, ergo, I'm not he one conflating here...

Again I agree with you. User access control management and DRM uses similar, if not the same mechanisms to prevent unauthorized user access. DRM is mainly used for copy protection like Denovo, however, it can also use authorization based mechanisms, like on a website or on a personal computer, but DRM ONLY governs copyrighted (intellectual) created media, like books, music, movies, and software/games. It doesn't matter if it's whole or some, in this case it is correct to use DRM also in this case, like NMS.

Logging in to a computer using local or remote user account is not DRM, logging into Galaxy using gog.com account is not DRM... another activation via Galaxy to unlock more of the game IS DRM..

It is the very definition of digital rights management.

Anyone know how to get these 'free goodied' are they part of the installation or a separate download like dlc ??

TerriblePurpose: You don't find an issue with that, given the supposed 'DRM-free' core principle of GOG?
avatar
mrkgnao: What makes you think that CP2077 is DRM-free?

None of the recent news articles about it here (including one titled "Everything we know...") mention that it's DRM-free:
- https://www.gog.com/news/preload_cyberpunk_2077_today
- https://www.gog.com/news/bthe_gogcom_version_of_cyberpunk_2077_will_be_playable_via_geforce_now_on_december_10thb
What makes us think it's free? How about the Cyberpunk 2077 sales page where it says "Why buy on GOG? DRM Free"
(Side note: With all the talk of DRM, I noticed that nobody seems to have mentioned the Denuvo DRM on press copies. While it's not expected on the final release, it is still a case of GOG's parent company implementing DRM.)

Thank you - will the offline installers include this 10GB patch already or will it need to be downloaded in addition to the installers?

I would talk about it but I didn't know about it untill now.
Care to provide reputable sources?
