Your journey to Night City is close at hand! As of today, you can pre-load all the necessary files to install Cyberpunk 2077 through your GOG GALAXY app. This way you’ll be able to dive into the most anticipated open-world RPG quickly on 10th December, when the grand premiere of the game takes place.

While we’re at it - take a look at our video below! We’ve created it along with the game’s creators to show you how super grateful we are that you’ve chosen to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM, where 100% of your money goes to CD PROJEKT Group.

We can confirm that offline installers will be available at launch, at 1 AM CET. We'll continue to immediately update them with the latest patches after the game's release.

You may have noticed the pre-load is getting updated - it's the 10GB release patch we've implemented now so you can enjoy a smooth launch. The update is 10GB BUT it actually implements changes to some of the existing files, meaning around 50GB of data has to be changed. That is why GOG GALAXY needs roughly 50-60GB of free space for the patch to successfully update.

Alternatively, you can uninstall the pre-load and install it again - that should also do the trick.

SmollestLight: To answer some questions:

MY REWARDS requires connecting to your GOG account via GOG GALAXY. After a successful login, internet connection is no longer required. However, the in-game items received are purely cosmetic and in no way affect the single player experience of the game.

Unfortunately, we can't do much for the preload in cases of the physical pre-order and you will have to wait until your game arrives. =(

Ashrall: Original Score / Cyberpunk 2020 Sourcebook and Wallpapers are available now ?

Or All goodies are available on december 10th ?
avatar
SmollestLight: The goodies for Cyberpunk 2077, will be available once the game launches on December 10th.

avatar
Gersen: It would be great if some blue could clarify which rewards requires an Internet connection and which doesn't ? Is it only for the Gwent related ones ?
avatar
SmollestLight: Many people have already answered your question, but just in case: Wolf School Jacket, Galaxy T-shirt, Wolf School T-shirt, Black Unicorn and Shupe the Troll Plushy. You can find more information here. =)

avatar
thebrutus666: How much space it needs? Gives me error saying no spade on my SSD where i have 398GB available.
avatar
SmollestLight: About 70 GB =) You will be more than fine with your 398GB! If the error persists, please reach out to our technical support.

[specified the preload =)]
Apparently this game does not support external SSD which is BS. Does anyone know if day-1 patch will solve this?
I'm really looking forward to playing your game, thanks for all your hard work during a difficult year. Taking pride in your craft and sharing it with others is when you know that there are those that lie in wait to criticize is no small bravery. Art may seem like a superfluous thing during dark times, but it's ability to bring people together cannot be overstated.

Keep the faith, stay strong.

Will this include the day-1 patch or am I going to be expecting to have to download another 40+ gbs on launch day?

toxicTom: I don't get why CDPR insists on alienating their most faithful customers like that - what is there to gain?
avatar
MarkoH01: Not much to gain but a LOT to lose obviously. Those who are only here because of CP2077 and those cosmetics don't have to STAY here and buy other stuff as well - they might as well create this account just for this one game because Steam still is (in most cases) cheaper and their games are faster updated. Zjsoe don't have a problem with DRM so there'S nothing GOG could offer those that Steam does not offer too - just cheaper and sometimes better. However those old and loyal GOGers, those that left a ton of money here already - those that even are willing to spend more on a game just to support DRM-free ... if they lose those it will be much worse and they constantly slap them in their faces with their decisions. I wonder why they don't see this.
They seem to want to push the Galaxy client like it will be their saving grace for some reason. One of those cases of not seeing the forest for the trees when it comes to the community of people that supported GOG before Galaxy. They also do not seem to give a shit about the community anymore, which is still their lifeblood and they just do not see it or care to.

The landscape at GOG has changed however. I mean how many GOG employees that you knew from several years back are still working there? Losing Guillaume Rambourg and Trevor Longino were major blows to GOG. As were many of the rank and file hourly employees that ended up leaving due to one reason or another. When these people were still with GOG there was a heart to it. It has since turned so very cold and corporate over the last few years.

It was nice to interact with the people that worked there as it seemed a lot more relaxed then, a hell of a lot more than it is now. Like they are keeping their employees on a short leash not allowing them to do anything other than what their basic job descriptions entail. Not saying that the current blues would bother to interact with anyone, but back then it was part of GOG initial charm because it was so very different than the other store fronts.

It always is the little touches that one misses the most it seems...

HypersomniacLive: I said "how the mighty have fallen" when you introduced purchasing DRM games via GOG-Galaxy; apparently there was still room to crash.
I assure you there's more room still. That's the genious of a great big thing crashing hard - it makes room as it hits.
It's like
-Where's GOG?
-In the basement.
-We don't have a basement.
-We do now!

I'll be quite surprised if this "my rewards" stuff will be the only way in which Cyberpunk breaks GOG's "rules". They're going to keep digging that hole untill they wake a Balrog.

Would that be the bargain basement or the basement of the Alamo by any chance?

We all know that there is still room to drop. For all we know there could be a huge cache of subterranean tunnels underneath that basement yet... and if they aren't careful they could go all the way to China.
I'm curious about the day 0 or day 1 patch. I have just finished doing the pre-load on PC, am i still going to have to download a huge patch tomorrow or was that included in the pre-load? Like where i live the game should go live at 6pm central time , can i expect to be playing then or downloading some patch.

I have 100GB SSD free, can instal client and preload game to HDD and 10.12. choise instal to SSD?
Please instruct your retail partners to ship box copies of the game NOW, so we can use the GOG key and pre-load as well, and not wait until the box arrives on the 10th.

There is no reason to not ship PC boxed copies early as people can't play the game anyway until launch on GOG.

This game deserves a spot on this list right here:
Games that treat GOG customers as second class citizens

Locking content behind their client and claiming it's 100% DRM-free...yeah, right.

Oh, and treating your userbase that uses the offline installers only like trash is a neat move as well. :P

What you are describing is a bait and switch. They draw you in with no drm the bait , then they switch to drm once you have become invested in their service.

Not that list, that's for differences/content lacking between GOG and (usually) Steam versions of games. You can add it to the "DRM in Single-Player Games on GOG" thread (not exactly the right thread name)
One thing I like in this video - presentation of bonus ingame content (Gog) in the end of vid.

Shame on you GOG, you're going that low. Wasn't enough that people have to use galaxy if they want to preload the game, now you're locking content behind your stupid client. Lies 100% DRM-free, the content, not so much. BTW, is this locked content made in collaboration with Hello Games?

Here's a motto you can use, royalty-free: "GOG.com - No shame, no pride!"
