Your journey to Night City is close at hand! As of today, you can pre-load all the necessary files to install Cyberpunk 2077 through your GOG GALAXY app. This way you’ll be able to dive into the most anticipated open-world RPG quickly on 10th December, when the grand premiere of the game takes place.

While we’re at it - take a look at our video below! We’ve created it along with the game’s creators to show you how super grateful we are that you’ve chosen to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM, where 100% of your money goes to CD PROJEKT Group.

We can confirm that offline installers will be available at launch, at 1 AM CET. We'll continue to immediately update them with the latest patches after the game's release.

You may have noticed the pre-load is getting updated - it's the 10GB release patch we've implemented now so you can enjoy a smooth launch. The update is 10GB BUT it actually implements changes to some of the existing files, meaning around 50GB of data has to be changed. That is why GOG GALAXY needs roughly 50-60GB of free space for the patch to successfully update.

Alternatively, you can uninstall the pre-load and install it again - that should also do the trick.

in my opinion why care about a few extra rewards that are not really part of the lore or aesthetics of the game world and are more of an after thought for fans of CD Projekt Red and GOG so who really cares if you need to log in once your probably not going to use or see much of the clothes or plushie that come with the rewards.

There WILL be a multiplayer version later. This stuff seems to be the test phase / first acceptence test for the customer base.

Well, there are cutscenes, third-person driving, and photo mode.... which makes the absence of a regular third-person camera mode all the more baffling. I wouldn't be surprised if people modded that in shortly after release.

Third person mode requires special consideration in level design. That's not so easy to patch in - in a nice and working way at least.

naantje: I buy a code of another website and these cringe dogs here just assume i am trying to 'steal' a preloaded copy of a game that doesn't have DRM to begin with. Really smart individuals.
If you buy a key from another site, how can GOG know you have the key when you don't have it yourself? GOG doesn't officially sell key through 3rd party sites, the key they are selling you comes from some other source than GOG.

SmollestLight: To answer some questions:

MY REWARDS requires connecting to your GOG account via GOG GALAXY. After a successful login, internet connection is no longer required. However, the in-game items received are purely cosmetic and in no way affect the single player experience of the game.

Many people have already answered your question, but just in case: Wolf School Jacket, Galaxy T-shirt, Wolf School T-shirt, Black Unicorn and Shupe the Troll Plushy. You can find more information here. =)
Just to repeat, this is 100% absolutely unacceptable. This is DRMed DLC. You guys know what I have in my account. WTF is up with this awful decision? This may be accurate information in your reply, but it is *wrong* information in your reply and needs to be corrected.

Meh, that sucks. I won't follow the outraged trend of "CP2077 isn't DRM-free, etc" but there were much better ways to give out those pre-order rewards like, for example, a zip to download in the goodies section with instructions and the necessary files to activate them...

Wrong move. But it's not too late to fix it. Please listen to the GOG community.

IMHO the free cosmetics or rewards from the standalone game, is indeed a way to expand the userbase not only for cyberpunk, but they want people to make an account here, and then people will shop around and buy more (drm free) games win/win situation for them.

For me personally i think that as long as they keep their word (provide offline installers for each game)
offline gameplay, local saves (no galaxy app) and without drm its fine by me.

When joining up for the multiplayer adventure, you know cosmetics is a way for them to earn more money to keep the servers online and pay the developers. And talking about modding, i hope they (cdpr) will release the tools too make it happen.

Yeah, but for that they wouldn't have to tie those cosmetic add-ons to using Galaxy. Having a GOG account is enough. The only thing they achieve is pissing off the die-hard no-client-users.

Yes. This is why the GOG community needs to utterly reject this BS and push back on it hard.
So no offline installer at all? Or is there one coming on the 10th? I see people saying stuff on their opinion, but I see a lot of people implying it won't at all. Which is it? I hate GOG Galaxy.

Correct. As in "Gwen". And I COULD live with that.

BUT WHY NOT bring the cosmetics for the single player game in Galaxy AND as install-file.exe also? So both parties would be fine with that.

WHY alienate a very FIERCE part of the buying community here? Where is the gain here?

One of the pillar of GOG is that they lie to their customers and I they always stay true to that in a way or another.
100% DRM-free only is long gone.
It's baffling that the sister company of GOG is the one adding drm in the first place when they should have noone above them deciding for this anticonsumer practice. I don't see how they can be excused.
And while online connection and Galaxy is needed only at the first launch it completly miss the point of preservation. Customers should be able to backup their games and being able to reinstate them even if the store they bought it from is no longer available. That's the one aspect of being DRM-free that is neglected here.

Read the game page - "Pre-load all the necessary files to install Cyberpunk 2077 through the GOG GALAXY app. The offline installers will be available when the game is released on 10th December."

Offline installers will be available on the 10th. Possibly at midnight. Maybe not. Maybe not straight away.

GOG do you remember the days when you launched https://fckdrm.com/ ???

Probably you should just shut it down....I see no reason why people can't download the offline installers..It would be the same thing and then allow people to download the last part of the installer when the game releases....And I am not even gonna talk about the galaxy items being locked behind the client the other users already talked about it.
