Well still no sign of this classic.....I bet they'd have quite a market for this little gem.

Makes me wonder how they get something as bland as populous and yet there is still no light at the end of the tunnel for this classics resurgence...

Come on GOG.....sort it out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
would also love to see this. send your votes hither! gog .com/wishlist/games/powermonger
Yeah, rather strange it isn't here when we've got most of Bullfrogs games here.
Here's the wishlist entry.

Now here's the thing. There was recently an in depth documentary about how complicated it is to track down just the rights to games that GOG puts on their store. Even if they have the permission of the rights holders, there's the matter of the code, and just the executable won't do much good. Bullfrog especially is in a very complicated position due to the messy separation that was had.

If you have any leads on anyone who would know where either of those are, you'd possibly be doing GOG a favor to inform them as long as you can back that lead up with Empirical evidence.
I should, at least, see that game being played.

this shit takes time sadly, it will come someday, I am sure of it.
Yeah - would be nice to see it, but you'd realise when you did that it was shit.

Even Peter Molyneux said it (when talking about dungeon keeper, back in the day before internet, so not quoteable unless you can find the copy of PC Format).

It was a rushed game that suggested some kind of balance with ploughs vs armies etc. It totally didn't work, all your farmers died, you just had to make weapons.

It was the template of a Molyneux game, promise diversity, but provide a simple route that overrides all else.

I wonder how many people would have a similar awakening when Black and White comes to the store?

Oh I don't know, I think it still holds up pretty well :)

Yeah... I'd be interested in trying the second one as I think they added elements to it that the first was sorely lacking, but I'm not sure if it was supposed to be any better.

The original was an interesting idea that fell apart when you actually played (never mind the fact is was buggy as hell. I think it's the only game I remember playing that actually really suffered from bugs)
I am not a big fan of Bullfrog, mostly they seemed to make obscure games that were weird for the same of being weird, and awful user interfaces with non-descriptive buttons all over.

Yes, at the same time, I really like Magic Carpet and Dungeon Keeper. Luckily those two games are already on GOG.

First one was flawed, but had hidden depths. Second one was a disaster that had nothing hidden away to redeem it.
Bought this for the atari ST think was on hit squad budget lable with the expansion as well. Was not as found of it as i was with Populos but did enjoy the mod main menu soundtrack. Still would love to see it here and try it again to see if it becomes better with age.
