What I could never figure out from the show, is that all the monsters seemed to think they could take over the world by dancing.
I mean, THAT'S ALL THEY DID!
They'd get huge, and then do some modern dance routine! That was their attack! That was it!

Or pretty much every movie Marvel made. Or Disney in general in the last few years.
Knowing the kinda guy he is, he's probably waiting for a mod that would allow him to "kill some faggots".

And again, if it's an adult watching it, they likely watched it as a kid and are rewatching for nostalgia reasons.

Also, Phantom Menace came out when I was 8 and it was the first Star Wars I ever watched, and I thought it was awful. Put me off from watching the originals for years.
The whole "it's for kids!" argument doesn't hold water for me. Jar-Jar Binks was never funny, Power Rangers at least had fun fights.

Kung Fury. What you're looking for is Kung Fury.

Let me guess, he also wishes the white ranger had a hood and burning cross accessory?

I "love" it when they make oh so serious reboots of tongue-in-the-cheek TV series aimed at kids.
Who is it aimed at anyway? First I'd think it is the aging crowd to whom the original TV series meant something (I am not part of that group as they were not showing PR here when I was a kid, I've seen them only pretty recently here), but that trailer seemed like it was targetted to the teens of today (to whom PR means nothing).
EDIT: One thing I just learned... apparently the Power Rangers TV series was a 90s thing? Oddly, I thought it started already in the 80s, but then how the heck could I know. The old series I've seen on TV had a very (cheesy) 80s feeling in it, similar to Knight Rider and whatever.

Ha! I guess I forgot to add "sincere" to the list. There's a big difference between an earnest attempt at doing something, and constantly winking at the camera and making jokes that amount to "lol! this is dumb right!"
You know, what DC was about before they got hit with the grim and gritty stick in the face.

As a sidenote- being "for kids" is no excuse for something being shitty. Quite the contrary. We don't approve of feeding kids bad food, we don't buy them the worst, rickety bikes, why should it be ok for their entertainment to be crap? ANd kids really are not that different from adults. There's plenty of adults who watch shows I could describe in pretty much the same way. Just as there are kids who do care about all those things I mentioned, even if they don't yet know enough to list and explain them all, but they don't just like everything. Kids can appreciate quality too. They just need a chance to see it to recognise it.
I meant it as a figure of speech. As in, "no ammount of money would make those designs look good".
