I guess I need to learn to use that KeepAss tool as everyone advertises it, at least to see if it works for my purposes. So far I've trusted my own methods and they've worked ok, so far.

I hate it though how the general instructions say you should have loooooooooooong passwords (harder to brute-force)... but some sites don't allow long passwords (e.g. 20-30 characters or even more). To add security, instead they require you to use numbers, capital letters, extra characters etc. together.

Yeah, I hate password requirements (particularly as there is no standardisation whatsoever) and have started trying to use long passwords when I can, but if you have to add two capital letters, a number and a punctuation mark then it becomes harder to remember...

Yup, unfortunately despite being a better password correcthorsebatterystaple wouldn't be accepted by most sites.
So then you'd have to try remember which O you replace with a 0 or where you inserted a random ! or ?

Plus anytime I try to think of a four word password like that all I can come up with now is correcthorsebatterystaple XD

I'm not sure if it's a scam but certainly a bit at least questionable. What I assume is this, they ask for the password, buy the game from some low priced region for the user and net the difference.

Fairfox: It's totes not, tho; don't buy so-called redeemable keys off eBay sellers or unreputable websites; s'common sense. I deffo understand in this case teh OP thought it was 'safe' because of previous positive feedback, buuut since GOGie are teh only sellers (no re) then it matters not 'n' it's a hy-uge risk.

Sooorry, OP, I feels bad for you, brotein shake, but at least it's a lesson learned?
Of course it's common sense and some people are lacking a bit but they don't need smart arses neither. At least the OP was weary enough to not get bitten.

Is that all YOU could come up with?
In the end i saw their 15k positive feedback and did what they asked, got the game, the account back and now i've changed the password. The main problem now is that i fear they can use the copy of my id i send them to prove my identity to stole a password of mine :(

Edit: false allarm, both gamil and paypal have a mobile phone protection
