catpower1980: I was reading an article about the game and then noticed that GOG was mentioned:
http://www.showmethegames.com/2016/01/21/pony-island/

DO WANT!

Luned: Did you actually read the spoiler section of that article?

Let's just say, there's something in the game that won't give the proper experience (happening/feeling, not XP) to you the player if you're not on Steam. Saying that the game is available on GOG, after reading the whole review, becomes something of a brilliant troll in and of itself.
I didn't read the article as I was eating my lunch instead (and I already know the game from let's play).

Actually, what you point out might explain the delay because it would mean an exclusive build for GOG (instead of just copying the same zip file like some devs do).

I don't want to post the spoiler material here, but do check the article. An exclusive build probably won't work, unless it forced Galaxy integration. It's got nothing to do with multiplayer.

zeogold: You mean it wasn't "too niche"?
I wonder who was the smart girl / guy at the Gog HQ office who thought " Yes!!!! Our customers will like this . "

Fairfox: I'm surprised Goat Simulator isn't here too.
Me too. A game that uses the phrase "Blood for the Blood Goat" deserves to be here.
avatar
Fairfox: Gosh, GOG seem to be picking perceived trendy games over actual quality purposes :/. I'm surprised Goat Simulator isn't here too.
Don't worry . It will be here soon . :(

I don't understand why Gog isn't offer the Euro Truck Simulator series .
This is the type of thing which makes GOG look ridiculous in its curation. Hundreds of thousands of really good games out there and they are releasing this rubbish, and hunie pop, and hatoful.
Ponies!
And yet they reject the Black Chicken Studios games...
Call me crazy, but after watching a couple gameplay videos, I'm genuinely interested... {shrug}

I've read the part about Steam integration and that doesn't negate what I said as if I estimate the work needed to be done to "adapt" the game it's roughly equivalent between making some kind of Galaxy integration or implementing some custom UI directly in the game.

Anyway, I've sent an e-mail about this issue directly to the dev so wait and see......
And here we are again.
People, the fact that some of you guys don't like this game (that you probably never play not even know about) doesn't make it bad. Or good.

But it's so good to be edgy :-/

I dunno if it's good or not, but it has 89 in metacritic and an overwhelmingly positive reception in steam. So it might.
You know. I don't like Oblivion, so Bethesda is the worst developer ever!!!!! GOG shouldn't bring it here. It's popamole comercial bullshit!!!!! (We all know every game I don't like is crap)

If they ever bring Undertale here I can see the same people complaining. Again.

If they keep it up my Steam library is going to grow instead of my GOG library.

The game notifies you that there's an insomnia sale on GoG and that the Witcher 3 is free for the next minute :D

I'm okay with these releases; they're quality games -- maybe not just for you. (I'm a huge fan of Long Live the Queen, and I do plan to find time for Hatoful Boyfriend.). BUT the problem is their REJECTION of other, quality games.
