SargonAelther: I do agree that original games should be preserved, especially since the Legendary Edition is missing the Pinnacle Station DLC, but that's completely up to EA, who don't care.
DyNaer: Umm : yes but the fault is not due to EA but to Demiurge (who developed the DLC) if i read properly: code source was corrupted / lost or whatever.
And guess what ? Modders have restored the DLC for the Legendary Edition , LOL
https://www.ign.com/articles/mass-effect-legendary-edition-pinnacle-station-dlc-mod I played the Legendary Edition on PS4 and the integration of the 3 games in one launcher is great... Concerning the missing DLC ..;many players consider it has the worst DLC of the trilogy... so no big loss there. Still i agree it's a shame modders did the job instead who was in charge of the Legendary Edition.
I played all games with all DLCs on their own, not as part of legendary, so I know what the DLC was and I don't care what some people say about it. It was a good way to acquire some nice high-level loot that I liked... 'Cause ME1 was an actual RPG with loot, not a simple 3rd person shooter with dialogue and predetermined upgrades, like its sequels.
And yes, the fact that modders could patch it in, while BioWare dismissed it due to lack of source code is embarrassing. The question remains though. Are the saves affected by this and do the later games in the legendary edition aware of this modded-in DLC? Because ME3 referenced it and there was also a war asset granted for having completed it, if I remember correctly. They went to great lengths to acknowledge every DLC in ME3, including "the bad one" from ME1.
