Seems like it's been fixed?

After a while my eyes got used to this. I cannot tell if reading this is 5% slower or the other way around.
Isn't it back to normal? Or did I just get used to it?

I think it is back to normal, if I'm not mistaken.
Yep, what happened is that it's been fixed. For a few days the stylesheet for the forum (actually the "legacy" CSS for sites still using the old format) had apparently been moved but the pages still tried to load it from the old location, so you ended up with default fonts, and now they fixed it so it looks like before again.

Or was this post about a brief period which I missed when the attempt to fix it had broken it in a different way than the one it had been broken it for the past few days?

It's been going back and forth for a couple days now, so let's see what tomorrow brings.

Interestingly, I unchecked the option in my browser settings to allow sites to override the default font, it worked on every site except one. lol
thank goodness. no more — instead of 9s. no more missing : symbols. apart from here, in my replies. lulz

It probably fixed itself on accident just like how it probably broke itself on accident. Do you think they noticed? It was only for a weak, you know.

That's right. A random error randomly fixing itself is actually more likely that GOG doing something to fix the forum. I'm relieved. Perhaps the world isn't going to end right now. :-)

You're welcome. :o
Aah... Now my eyeballs don't feel like sandpaper when I visit these forums.
Glad to see the original back, though I do wonder if we would have gotten used to the new one eventually
